Angel Reese Makes Heartfelt Admission After Viral Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Walk

After the 2025 WNBA season wrapped up, Angel Reese became the first professional athlete at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show.

Chicago Sky star Angel Reese made history at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show held in October 2025. The WNBA star made her runway debut, becoming the first athlete to ever walk the iconic fashion show.

Fans were ecstatic at Reese’s new achievement, hyping up the young basketball icon. After all, Reese’s move will only pave the way for more athletes to attend other non-sports events.

What Did the Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese Say About the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show?

Stunning in two different outfits, Reese set an example as the first professional athlete at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show. As one of the most popular WNBA players and the brand diversifying its portfolio, it was a big deal for Reese to be selected.

Of course, Reese couldn’t have pulled it off alone. The 23-year-old had a good team supporting her, especially as she stepped onto the runway for the first time. A highly critical field, runways are difficult for even professional models to perfect.

For Reese, who was doing something new, the walk was a completely new experience. Thanking her team, Reese wrote:

“Find you a team that genuinely will do anything possible for you when you have big dreams & goals no matter HOW BIG! Nothing I’ve asked or wanted hasn’t been done! 😉.”

Reese Admitted to Manifesting Her Victoria’s Secret Appearance

In a backstage interview at the show, Reese spoke about her appearance and how she manifested it in 2024.

“I posted on my (Instagram) Story last year, when I was here at the show, watching front row. I said, ‘I’m gonna be a Victoria’s Secret model one day,'” Reese told CNN. “I didn’t know it was gonna come this fast.”

Reese also complimented all the other women at the event.

“Everybody looks different, but they’re all beautiful. (That’s) the inclusivity of being a Victoria’s Secret model and knowing that you can look beautiful in many different shades, sizes, lengths, heights — tall, short — you can be here.”

Loyal fans cheered Reese on, stating that Reese has made the perfect journey from rebounds to runways. Though there was some criticism, most fans were happy that Reese got a new opportunity in the postseason.

The Sky star has been in the news for viral comments criticizing her team and teammates, with many analysts and fans calling her out for being too candid. Reese reportedly wanted a younger, more experienced roster, something that Chicago wasn’t keen on providing.

Naturally, the statement kick-started trade talks, furthering the conversation around Reese’s position in the league. The Sky’s dismal 10-34 win-loss record in 2025 didn’t help.

Reese led her team by averaging 14.7 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.5 steals per game last season.
