But when they face New England, the focus will be on their new jerseys. Aiming to make it an iconic celebration with a whiteout, the Bills are debuting a brand-new all-white look.
The Rivalries uniform came together as a collaborative effort between Nike and the NFL “to authentically reflect what makes their team, fans, and communities wholly unique.” In the case of the Bills, the idea was to bring to life the coldness of a Buffalo winter.
With no traces of red on the design, it is instead accentuated by a chrome, iridescent charging buffalo on the sleeves. Additionally, another buffalo serves as the helmet decal and appears on the front of the lid.
To add to the winter feeling, the numbers are white with a royal blue outline, creating a frosty look. An official press release on the Bills’ website promises that the jersey is more than just a look. Instead, “it’s the city’s DNA stitched into fabric.”
“When you think Buffalo Bills Football, you think ice in the air, grit in the soul, and a city that thrives in the cold. It’s not just iconic. It’s Buffalo,” it read.
To match that energy, the franchise has announced a whiteout at Highmark Stadium, urging fans to wear white from head to toe while supplying white towels to match the energy and intensity of the new jerseys the team will be donning.
