Grigor Dimitrov’s girlfriend, Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez, recently admired the Bulgarian tennis star as he recovers from a crushing injury sustained at Wimbledon in July. Gonzalez, who has been by Dimitrov’s side throughout his rehabilitation, took to social media to highlight his discipline and determination on his road to recovery.
What Message Did Eiza Gonzalez Send While Highlighting Grigor Dimitrov’s Discipline?
The former World No. 3’s setback came during one of his most promising campaigns in recent years. Dimitrov was facing top seed and eventual champion Jannik Sinner in the fourth round at the All England Club when he injured his pectoral muscle.
At that point, Dimitrov was in control of the contest, leading the Italian 6-3, 7-5, 2-2, before the pain forced him to retire mid-match, ending his Wimbledon run.

Despite the disappointment, Gonzalez revealed that Dimitrov wasted no time returning to training. The actress shared a brief clip of him running just two days after the injury, his arm strapped in a sling. Alongside the video, she praised her partner’s work ethic, writing, “2 days post injury. Nothing stops him. Hardest worker I know. The most disciplined @grigordimitrov.”

She also posted a series of candid photos showing Dimitrov surprising her with bouquets. One of the stories was captioned, “Flowers. All. The. Time.”

Dimitrov Reveals Wimbledon Heartbreak As the Most Painful Chapter of His Career
After bowing out in the Round of 16 at Wimbledon, Dimitrov turned to Instagram to share his thoughts on the disappointing exit.
“Sometimes the heart wants to keep going… but the universe has a different plan for us. Having to withdraw from this match at Wimbledon was one of the most painful moments of my career,” Dimitrov wrote.
“Thank you for the overwhelming wave of love – from family, friends, fans, colleagues, to the entire tennis community… your messages have genuinely lifted me through these hard times. Thank you all. Truly. Recovery starts now. I’ll see you all soon. G,” he added.
The setback forced the Bulgarian to skip the North American stretch, including the US Open.
