How Did Andre Agassi Balance Family Time and On-Court Appearances at the US Open?

Agassi’s presence at Flushing Meadows this year was both personal and professional, making it a standout visit for the 1994 and 1999 US Open champion. The spotlight first found him when he arrived at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center with his daughter, Jaz, who drew attention for her stylish appearance as the pair settled into Arthur Ashe Stadium.

From the stands, they soaked up the opening-round clash between Novak Djokovic and Learner Tien. The 55-year-old did not stop at spectating. Agassi joined forces with 2023 US Open champion Gauff in the ‘Stars of the Open’ charity exhibition against Venus Williams and John McEnroe.

Away from the courts, family life took center stage as Agassi shared a brunch outing with Graf, their children, and their partners. During his stay, he also reconnected with legend Jimmy Connors and doubles specialist Kateřina Siniaková.

Agassi later took to Instagram to post a carousel of photos from the two-week event. Uploaded shortly after the tournament wrapped up with Carlos Alcaraz lifting the men’s trophy and Aryna Sabalenka defending her women’s crown, the post was captioned, “Great times with great people @usopen.”

How Agassi Responded to Being Honored With USTA’s Top Recognition?

At the 2025 US Open Opening Night Gala, Agassi was honored with the USTA Foundation’s Serving Up Dreams Award. In an emotional speech, the American tennis icon reflected on how education shaped his life and the lives of many children.

“I needed my reason, and I found it, and I found my team,” Agassi said in his speech. “I found something that my name was on, but had nothing to do with me. Something that I was connected to, but much larger than me.”

“If all it gave me was my second chance at being present and enjoying tennis for what it was, as opposed to directing so much rage at the sport, that would be enough. I would say thank you. Thank you, education, for giving me that.”
