What Are the Official New Pairings for Jannik Sinner, Naomi Osaka, and Other Stars?

The big headline in the bottom half of the mixed doubles draw is reigning US Open winner Jannik Sinner’s last-minute team-up with Czech doubles specialist Kateřina Siniaková after his original partner, Emma Navarro’s withdrawal. Siniaková, a former world No. 1 in women’s doubles and a ten-time Grand Slam champion, brings the team loads of experience.

She won Olympic gold in women’s doubles in Tokyo 2020 and mixed doubles in Paris 2024 with Tomáš Macháč. Plus, she just showed her mixed doubles skills with Sem Verbeek to win Wimbledon 2025.

Naomi Osaka, originally lined up with Nick Kyrgios, now pairs with Gaël Monfils. Monfils steps in after Kyrgios dropped out due to his schedule and ranking issues.

Lorenzo Musetti, meanwhile, will have a new partner in Caty McNally after Jasmine Paolini’s exit. Paolini, like Sinner, Alcaraz, and Świątek, is scheduled to compete in the Cincinnati Open final on Monday, August 18.

The blockbuster teams keep coming. Amanda Anisimova joins Holger Rune, and Venus Williams teams up with Reilly Opelka. Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz lead the top half, while Madison Keys partners up with Frances Tiafoe, setting up an all-American showdown later on.

How Could Scheduling Challenges Affect the US Open Mixed Doubles?

The first round of mixed doubles kicks off Tuesday, August 19, just a day after the Cincinnati Open finals on Monday. This tight turnaround means players who reach the final stages of the 1000 event have little time to switch gears. Fresh off their title bout, men’s singles finalists Sinner and Alcaraz will be heading to Flushing Meadows after traveling about 650 miles.

Women’s finalist Iga Świątek faces similar timing issues, as she gets ready for Jasmine Paolini in Cincinnati and partners with Casper Ruud in New York. Meanwhile, Lorenzo Musetti — after a tough 6-4, 3-6, 5-10 loss alongside Lorenzo Sonego in the men’s doubles final against Rajeev Ram and Nikola Mektić — prepares to join McNally for mixed doubles, with his original partner Paolini opting out.

With all eyes on these new pairings, fans are ready to see which duos will click. The mix of seasoned vets and rising stars sets the stage for plenty of surprises as everyone settles in for the 2024-25 campaign.
