Fever GM Amber Cox Gushes Over Taylor Swift’s Viral Appearance at Boyfriend Travis Kelce’s Chiefs Game

After Taylor Swift's podcast appearance with Travis and Jason Kelce, Indiana Fever's GM Amber Cox shows love for the 14-time Grammy winner.

Taylor Swift shook up the sports and entertainment worlds when she announced her 12th studio album on New Heights, the hit podcast hosted by her boyfriend and Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce and his brother, recently retired NFL legend Jason Kelce. Fans everywhere wanted to know how this moment would play out, especially with some big names in the WNBA paying close attention.

One of the WNBA’s biggest stars, Caitlin Clark, has never hidden her love for Swift. Now fans have learned that Indiana Fever general manager Amber Cox might be just as much of a fan as anyone else.

How Did Amber Cox Show Love to Taylor Swift?

Amid the Fever’s 2024-25 WNBA campaign, Cox took some time to post her support for Swift on X. On the “Pat McAfee Show,” Chiefs owner Clark Hunt joined the conversation to talk all things NFL and answered questions about the famous couple, Kelce and Swift, plus her appearance on the “New Heights” podcast.

When McAfee asked Hunt about how things worked to get Swift into Arrowhead Stadium for her first Chiefs game, Hunt revealed she turned down special security and entered just like any other fan.

“But I think the most amazing thing about that first game of which, you know, caught us all by surprise was the fact that she literally walked in the front door and, you know, we had offered to to get her some special security and she said, ‘No, I want to be just like a typical fan. I’m coming straight in the front door,’” Hunt said.

This moment spread quickly on social media. Cox quoted the clip on X and added, “Absolutely legendary – WALKED IN WITH THE REST OF US.”

The “us” Cox refers to is Chiefs fans, something she makes clear in her bio: “Chiefs fan until I die.”

What Did Caitlin Clark Say About Swift’s Appearance on New Heights Podcast?

Indiana’s superstar and general manager share more than a love for basketball. They’re both passionate about Swift and the Chiefs, making their off-court interests almost as strong as their drive on the floor.

The WNBA superstar posted “AHHHHHHH!!!!!! LFGGGGGG” on Instagram after hearing that the 14-time Grammy winner would appear on the Kelces’ podcast. Clark even predicted that the ‘Swifties,’ Swift’s famously dedicated fan base, would crash the internet once she appeared, which ended up happening.

While Clark continues her recovery from a groin injury that has kept her out since July 15, the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year enjoys some off-court excitement, thanks to Swift and Kelce. Their crossover appeal brings even more energy to this already electric summer for sports and music fans alike.
