Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons is ready to take drastic measures to secure the contract he deserves.
Fans and players have remained frustrated with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones for dragging out contract negotiations, vocal about their disappointment. Parsons, with 43 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 23 QB hits, and two forced fumbles in 2024, is a key part of the Cowboys’ roster.
Trevon Diggs and Other Players Unite Against Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones for Micah Parsons
Parsons has officially requested a trade from the Cowboys. He grew frustrated with how the franchise has handled his contract situation and now wants to leave Dallas.
The organization’s relationship with the defensive end is deteriorating, raising possibilities for a complicated start to the season. Before Parsons requested a trade, the Cowboys’ defensive players united against Jones, supporting their teammate’s approach.
Though there’s no proper conclusion to Parsons’ contract drama yet, players have made subtle changes to side with their teammate.
Cornerback Trevon Diggs, Linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, and safety Juanyeh Thomas have all changed their Twitter (now known as X) images to Parsons, making a clear statement against Jones.
To double down, Diggs also made a tweet to support his teammate.

“7|11 4L,” Diggs wrote, 4L meaning ‘for life’.
While not all players might tweet in direct support, the message is abundantly clear: they’re siding with Parsons and Jones to pay their teammate his deserved amount.

Cowboys legend Dez Bryant also joined in, silently supporting the young Cowboys star.
“Jerry & Stephen pay the man,” Bryant wrote in one post.

Fans seem to echo the players’ sentiment, hoping for contract discussions to conclude before the 2025-26 season.
Parsons’ Relationship With the Cowboys Has Deteriorated
In a recent report, The Athletic’s Dianna Russini shed light on Parsons’ current relationship with the Cowboys.
“The Micah Parsons-Cowboys relationship has deteriorated to the point where the star pass rusher is considering drastic measures, which could include a trade request or even a declaration that he is severing his relationship with the team, per multiple league sources familiar with the situation. The two sides remain far apart heading into the second week of training camp, and are not currently negotiating,” Russini wrote.
She added that the Cowboys were upset after Parsons’ agent, David Mulugheta, interfered. Apparently, the Cowboys and Parsons had already come to a conclusion, the organization upset that they were attempting to renegotiate.
Some reports have suggested that Jones is ready to offer Parsons a big contract and has directly negotiated with the four-time Pro Bowler. Now that Parsons has made it public that he wants to get traded, it remains to be seen what the franchise does next.
