The U.S. Tennis Association has unveiled 14 of the 16 mixed doubles teams set to compete at this year’s US Open, featuring both direct entries and Wild Card selections. With $1 million in prize money, the restructured format of short sets to four games, no-ad scoring, and a 10-point match tie-break instead of a third set promises fast-paced drama.
Among the announced pairings, Paula Badosa will debut with a new partner, who is creating buzz in the tennis world.

All matches will be played on Arthur Ashe or Louis Armstrong Stadium, highlighted by an opening match for the defending mixed-doubles champions, Errani and Vavassori. The early scheduling allows singles specialists to shine in mixed doubles before focusing on their primary draws.
Paula Badosa’s New Alliance and Former Partnership With Stefanos Tsitsipas
Badosa was initially supposed to partner with Tsitsipas for the mixed doubles draw. However, the once high-profile tennis couple ended their relationship following early losses at Wimbledon 2025.
Reports confirm they split just days after exiting the Championships. Badosa lost in the first round to Katie Boulter, and Tsitsipas retired mid-match due to injury. This marks the second time the couple has separated since going public in 2023.
Now, Badosa teams up with Draper, forming one of the tournament’s most intriguing international pairings. Draper was initially slated to play with Zheng Qinwen, but she withdrew from the tournament due to a right elbow injury. Draper will now complement Badosa’s powerful groundstrokes with his aggressive baseline game.
Both players withdrew from the Citi DC Open, despite Badosa being the defending champion, and Draper will not be participating in the Toronto and Cincinnati Masters.
