‘Not a Game-Changing Wide Receiver’ — WWE Superstar Seth Rollins Cools Down Rams WR Puka Nacua’s Hype

Seth Rollins shares a strong opinion on wide receiver Puka Nacua, sparking debate as the 2025 season and new rankings approach.

Seth Rollins just threw a haymaker at one of the NFL’s most debated receivers. The WWE superstar didn’t mince words when discussing Jeremy Fowler’s annual top 10 wide receiver rankings, taking direct aim at Los Angeles Rams receiver Puka Nacua. While fans continue arguing about who deserved a spot on the 2025 list, Rollins made his position crystal clear: Nacua doesn’t belong in the conversation yet.

Why Does Seth Rollins Think Puka Nacua Doesn’t Deserve Top 10 Recognition?

Jeremy Fowler’s 2025 NFL wide receiver rankings sparked the usual debates among fans. The top 10 featured familiar names like Tyreek Hill, CeeDee Lamb, Justin Jefferson, and Ja’Marr Chase. However, one notable absence has generated significant discussion: Rams wide receiver Nacua.

Nacua entered the 2024 season with sky-high expectations following his record-breaking rookie campaign in 2023. Unfortunately, a knee injury derailed those hopes, limiting him to just 11 games and dropping his production to 990 yards with only three touchdowns.

Despite the injury setback, some fans believe Nacua still deserved consideration for Fowler’s elite list. WWE superstar Rollins isn’t one of them.

“I don’t think Puka got to be in it,” Rollins said when asked about Fowler’s ranking. “I don’t think he’s a game-changing wide receiver. Not yet.”

Rollins didn’t stop there, comparing Nacua and former teammate Cooper Kupp. While the comparison appears flattering on the surface, Rollins used it to highlight what he sees as Nacua’s limitations.

“He’s a guy that you get the ball [to]. He’s going to get a few extra yards. He might break one here and there, but like he’s not as dynamic as some of these other guys when it comes to getting the ball down the field big time,” Rollins continued. “He’s legit, but I don’t know that he strikes fear into my heart.”

Can Nacua Bounce Back From His Injury-Plagued 2024 Campaign?

For fans who witnessed Nacua’s electric rookie season, his 2024 struggles were particularly frustrating. However, Rollins echoes the sentiment of many observers who want to see consistency before crowning Nacua among the elite.

To be fair, Nacua’s 2024 numbers weren’t terrible. Despite missing five games due to injury, he still ranked among the top 30 receivers in catches and yards. But in a league overflowing with talent at the wide receiver position, simply being “solid” doesn’t guarantee elite recognition.

At just 24 years old, Nacua has plenty of time to prove his doubters wrong. He’s already shown flashes of brilliance and demonstrated his unique skill set. Now, the focus shifts to staying healthy, building on his foundation, and making the kind of game-changing plays that force critics like Rollins to take notice.

Whether Nacua earns a spot on next year’s top 10 list remains an open question. One thing is certain: he’ll be motivated by every word from his skeptics. The young receiver will be watching and listening, using that fuel to power his comeback campaign.
