Kevin McEnroe, son of American tennis legend John McEnroe and actress Tatum O’Neal, had one of the most significant days of his life last month as he married his longtime fiancée Fern Cozine. The 39-year-old and his sister Emily McEnroe, 34, recently shared a few photos from the memorable ceremony, which also included their parents.
Despite being the son of a tennis legend and a celebrated actress, Kevin followed his own path. A graduate of Columbia University, he has established himself as an author, with his notable work including the 2016 novel Our Town.

The 39-year-old connected with Cozine on a dating app during the COVID-19 pandemic. The two began meeting regularly, and their relationship gradually deepened. Kevin eventually proposed to Fern during a hike near Kingston, New York. The couple got engaged in November 2023 and shared the news with a heartfelt Instagram post.
Nearly a year and a half later, the couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Napa Valley, California. Cozine looked elegant in a white off-the-shoulder gown paired with a veil, while Kevin opted for a classic white tuxedo and black bow tie.
The occasion clearly held deep personal meaning for Kevin McEnroe, and he recently commemorated it by sharing a few photos on Instagram. In one of the shots, the writer is seen posing with his seven-time Major champion father and his brother, a professional photographer. Another photo captures Kevin alongside his sisters Emily, Ruby, Ava, and Anna.

It seemed like Emily was having the time of her life at her brother’s wedding, sharing joyful moments from the ceremony on Instagram. The 34-year-old wore a vibrant orange dress and posed with her siblings and mother, O’Neal. During the celebration, she even got in on the fun with a limbo dance.

As noted, O’Neal is a renowned Hollywood actress known for her roles in films such as Not to Forget, Last Will, She’s Funny That Way, and others. While Emily didn’t follow in her father’s footsteps in tennis, she also chose to become an actor, voiceover artist, and singer. She made her acting debut in the feature film Futra Days.
John McEnroe and Tatum O’Neal’s Relationship Was Fraught With Tensions
O’Neal and John’s relationship began in 1984, when they started living together in New York. Their bond deepened over time, leading to their marriage in 1986. The couple had three children: Kevin, 39, Sean, 37, and Emily, 34. However, growing tensions eventually strained their relationship, and they separated in 1992 before finalizing their divorce in 1994.
The custody battle over their children turned into a bitter and highly publicized dispute. Both McEnroe and O’Neal made serious allegations against each other, with claims focusing on the latter’s history of substance abuse and the former’s temper. In 1998, however, McEnroe was granted full custody of their children as O’Neal struggled with addiction.
After splitting with O’Neal, the 66-year-old married renowned singer Patty Smith in 1997. In addition to becoming a stepfather to Patty’s daughter, Ruby, John and Patty went on to have two daughters together, Anna and Ava.
