Tennis World in Shock as the Most Bizarre Viral Prediction on Iga Świątek Winning Wimbledon Holds True

Fans express surprise as a mysterious prediction for Iga Świątek turns correct at Wimbledon.

Iga Świątek’s dominant campaign at Wimbledon might have stunned many, but a low-profile corner of social media had already predicted the result.

The chronicles began during Wimbledon 2024, when a fan unintentionally predicted Barbora Krejcikova’s victory before the draw for the tournament was even made. Here’s a detailed look into the on-point prediction.

Fan Mysteriously Predicts Iga Świątek’s Victory at Wimbledon

A fan randomly took to social media platform X to make a bizarre yet confident prediction about Barbora Krejcikova’s victory in 2024. According to the individual, whoever got Veronika Kudermetova in the first round would win the title.

“I’m calling it right now whoever draws Kudermetova in R1 will win Wimbledon 2024,” the post said.

And so it happened. Krejcikova, who had struggled to win titles leading up to her appearance at SW19 last year, played her opening match against Kudermetova and went on to clinch her second Grand Slam singles trophy.

Before this year’s event, the same fan randomly declared that Veronika’s sister Polina would be the future champion’s first opponent. When the draw ceremony was conducted, fans were shocked to learn that none other than Iga Świątek was set to begin her Wimbledon campaign against Polina Kudermetova.

The Pole, who hadn’t won a single title in over a year, surprisingly made it to her first-ever Wimbledon final, eventually adding another digit to her strong Grand Slam portfolio on Saturday, July 12.
Interestingly, that fan previously predicted Coco Gauff and Aryna Sabalenka’s journey to the 2023 US Open final solely by their “Grand Slam-worthy” outfits.
After Świątek’s win, fans reignited the discussion, expressing complete disbelief over the prediction and the eventual result. The fan who made the bizarre prediction stepped forward to boast, saying:

“The first one was so nice, I had to do it twice.”

Another fan expressed shock over the fact that the prediction worked two times in a row. Wondering if it would turn into a hat-trick, they said:

“predicting it once is insane, but doing it two years in a row is an absolute madness 😭 the only thing is that there are no other kudermetovas so i wonder who will be it next year.”

A fan was out of words: “Words cannot describe how unbelievable it is to do this twice,” they wrote.

A Świątek fan couldn’t help but thank the user for making the unintentional call.

“I would like to personally thank @VenusGauff for this. Your witchcraft is truly inspiring,” the fan wrote.

Another fan made a lighthearted claim.

“There has to come a point where we need to start talking about dark magic, because this is outrageous. 🤔,” he wrote.

With these and several comments on a similar note, the fans not only celebrated Świątek’s first ever Wimbledon title but also expressed surprise at the prediction.

Anisimova Ends Up With Shocking American History at Wimbledon

Four-time French Open winner Iga Świątek won her very first Wimbledon title in just 57 minutes, defeating Amanda Anisimova 6-0, 6-0. This quick and one-sided match added a sixth title to her grand slam portfolio.

Anisimova, on the other hand, became the first woman in the Open Era to lose a Wimbledon final without winning even a single game. Despite her strong run to the final, she couldn’t keep up with Świątek’s powerful performance.

As the new Wimbledon champion, Świątek received the famous Venus Rosewater Dish from Catherine, Princess of Wales, along with taking home a prize of over $4 million.
