The Indiana Fever are having a tough time in the 2025 season. They entered July 9 with a 9-9 record, and many fans believe their average performance is due to their superstar’s injuries.
However, hope flickered back to life on July 9 when Caitlin Clark returned to the floor against the Golden State Valkyries after missing the past three games due to a groin injury.
But for a brief moment, the spotlight shifted from Clark to someone else entirely, someone whose presence spoke volumes about dedication and team spirit.

His support for Clark and the Fever comes just days after devastating news about his future.
On Monday, Pacers President Kevin Pritchard confirmed that Haliburton will miss the entire 2025â26 NBA season to focus on his recovery from a torn Achilles.
âI have no doubt that he will be back better than ever. You know the surgery went wellâĤ He will not play next year, though. We would not jeopardize that now. Donât get any hopes up that he will play, but again, we will have some guys, and hopefully, we will have some opportunities to grow, and when he gets back, that would be a cherry on top,â said Pritchard during an interview.

The injury happened during Game 7 of the NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Before the injury, Haliburton averaged 18.6 points, 9.2 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game during the regular season. He played a pivotal role in leading the Pacers to the NBA Finals and maintained his form in the postseason by averaging 17.3 points per game. But that promising run came to a painful end when he collapsed in Game 7 after pushing through a calf strain.
Still, his spirit remains unbroken. Haliburtonâs appearance at the Fever-Valkyries game wasnât an isolated moment. He was also seen courtside on July 5 during the Feverâs clash against the Los Angeles Sparks.
Clark’s return couldnât have come at a better time. Prior to her groin injury, Clark was averaging 18.2 points, 8.9 assists, and five rebounds per game. Her absence clearly impacted the Feverâs performance, but fans now remain hopeful that her return will steady the team.
