For those unaware, the Green Bay Packers signed Micah Parsons to a four-year contract extension after acquiring him from the Cowboys. As part of the trade to purchase Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys, the Green Bay Packers and Parsons agreed to a four-year contract extension that will tie him to the Packers through the 2029 season.
Though the financial ramifications of this decision will be long-lasting, as the total value is $210 million over five years, this is based on the fifth-year option of $24 million, along with the extension, which is worth $186 million and includes a $44 million signing bonus.
Since entering the league, there have only been four players, Myles Garrett, T.J. Watt, Trey Hendrickson, and Nick Bosa, who have tallied more sacks than Parsons.
Nick Bosa is Happy for Micah Parsons’ Deal
However, the San Francisco 49ers’ Boss has recently commented only positively on Parsons’ latest career development. According to Tim Kawakami of ‘The San Francisco Standard,’ Bosa said it was great to see Parsons blow up the top-of-the-edge market with the deal.
“Great to see,” Bosa said. “It’s great to see. I talked to Micah at the Pro Bowl, and I said, ‘You’ve gotta push the needle, ’cause whenever you’re at the top of your game and you’re getting paid, it’s your opportunity and your responsibility to help the players that are coming after you.’ [A] 47 [million dollar deal]. Yeah. He definitely pushed the needle.”

Prior to the start of the 2025 NFL season, Parsons had 52.5 sacks, nine forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, and 256 total tackles (172 of which were solo) in his career so far.
