Brandon Aiyuk Jokes With Pittsburgh Steelers HC Mike Tomlin on Social Media
While Aiyuk hasn’t demanded a trade like Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins, things could be headed in that direction. San Francisco’s rising star wide receiver is just 26 years old and heading into the fifth-year option year of his rookie contract.
As trade rumors continue to involve Aiyuk, he did little to dispel the rumors with his latest social media post. Aiyuk mentioned Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin in a recent post on X (formerly Twitter). Given Pittsburgh’s reported interest in trading for Aiyuk, this is certainly an interesting thing for the Niners wide receiver to post.

Report: Steelers Have Looked Into Trading for Brandon Aiyuk
Roughly five hours before Aiyuk’s social media post mentioning Tomlin, Andrew Fillipponi of 93.7 The Fan reported some interesting news. Fillipponi stated that the Steelers have “looked into” Aiyuk in a potential trade.
He also mentions that Pittsburgh would have to execute a sign and trade to acquire the talented wide receiver from San Francisco. The Steelers have made plenty of moves this offseason, including signing Russell Wilson and trading for Justin Fields at quarterback. Could Pittsburgh view Aiyuk as their upgrade over the recently traded Diontae Johnson?
