However, when it comes to age, one of the biggest accolades, winning the Super Bowl, has a record that was set all the way back in 2001 and has yet to be broken. Who’s the Youngest Player To Win a Super Bowl?

Could it be Patrick Mahomes? What about Tom Brady in his rookie season? Well, no, neither of those prolific passers has the honor of being the youngest player to win a Super Bowl. Instead, that record is held by former Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns running back Jamal Lewis.

Lewis was only 21 years and 152 days old in Super Bowl XXXV when the Ravens defeated the New York Giants on Jan. 28, 2001.

Jamal Lewis Had Some Impressive Seasons

Lewis played college football at Tennessee and was selected fifth overall by the Ravens in the 2000 NFL Draft. After spending his first seven seasons with the Ravens, Lewis signed a free agent contract with the Browns in 2007 and retired after the 2009 season.

Lewis’ best season was back in 2003, when he rushed for an unbelievable 2,066 yards. He was awarded the AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year award after putting up those numbers.

During his rookie season, when he became the youngest player to win a Super Bowl, Lewis had a solid year. He rushed for 1,364 yards and scored six touchdowns. In the aforementioned Super Bowl, Lewis played a big part in the team’s success.

Although the 2000 Ravens were known for their defense, which is represented in the 31-7 final score, it was Lewis’ work on the ground that allowed Baltimore to sail to an easy win. Lewis finished the game as the leading rusher, putting up 102 yards on the ground with 27 carries, scoring one TD.

Throughout his career, he had 2,542 carries for 10,607 yards, 221 catches for 1,879 yards, and scored 62 touchdowns.
