$13 Billion Brand Makes Huge Announcement on Caitlin Clark’s Gatorade Bottle

Hy-Vee, a supermarket chain primarily found in the Midwestern United States, announced on Monday that it will sell Caitlin Clark’s Gatorade bottle exclusively at its stores.

In addition to the Cool Blue bottle, Clark and Gatorade have collaborated on a limited-edition collection, which includes a Gx squeeze bottle and a towel. The bottle shows Clark’s signature design, includes her jersey number (No. 22), and several motivational elements.

What Is Hy-Vee, and What Is Caitlin Clark’s New Deal?

Hy-Vee, a supermarket chain headquartered in West Des Moines, Iowa, earns about $13 billion annually. Most of its stores are located in the Midwest, including Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Wisconsin.

However, Hy-Vee offers much more than groceries at its stores. Most of its locations include pharmacies, health clinics, floral departments, gas stations, and some even have restaurants. Some Hy-Vee stores even have Starbucks and fitness centers in them.

Clark has had a long-standing relationship with Hy-Vee since her collegiate career. In 2021, Hy-Vee became Clark’s first major sponsor under the NCAA’s new Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) policy. Clark, a native of West Des Moines, said that Hy-Vee was an ideal match for NIL for her due to their “shared values, particularly in community leadership and giving back, especially in education and health and wellness initiatives.”

Clark has participated in several Hy-Vee-sponsored events. In July 2023, she served as Grand Marshal for the Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend. She also interacted with fans during “Kids’ Day” activities at the Iowa Speedway.

In February 2024, after Clark became the highest-scoring women’s basketball player in NCAA history, Hy-Vee donated $35,690 to the Caitlin Clark Foundation, which matched her career point total at that time.

During the 2024 holiday season, Hy-Vee introduced two basketballs from Wilson designed by Clark: “Tribute” and “Dreamer.” These basketballs commemorate Clark’s collegiate career and aim to inspire young athletes. They were sold at specific Hy-Vee, Strack, and Van Til stores.

In early January 2024, Hy-Vee released “Caitlin’s Crunch Time,” a limited-edition frosted flakes cereal. All proceeds from the sales of the cereal benefited the Caitlin Clark Foundation, whose mission is to uplift and improve the lives of youth through education, better nutrition, and sports. A few boxes included cards redeemable for autographed basketballs.

In March 2025, shoppers at Hy-Vee could round up their purchases to the next dollar to support the Caitlin Clark Foundation and its efforts against childhood hunger. The proceeds would be given to local Feeding America food banks.

Fans interested in purchasing the Caitlin Clark Gatorade bottle and the Gatorade collection can do so at Hy-Vee stores or online through Hy-Vee’s Aisles Online website.
