The Philadelphia Eagles may be on a bye week, but All-Pro center Jason Kelce is keeping busy outside of his typical obligations.
The NFL veteran is set to appear on Amazon’s Thursday Night Football broadcast of the showdown between the Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers. But why is Kelce going to be part of the broadcast crew for the game?
Jason Kelce To Appear on TNF Broadcast
Kelce revealed he would be joining the broadcast on Wednesday’s episode of the New Heights podcast, which he and his brother Travis Kelce co-host.
Jason will travel up to Chicago for the game and said he plans to spend around a day and a half of his bye week there. He also noted that talks with Amazon about appearing on a Thursday Night Football broadcast had been going on for a while after the company bought the documentary titled “Kelce” that followed Jason through the 2022-2023 NFL season, which he at the time thought might be his last.
“It’s gonna be a good time, I can’t wait,” Kelce said. “Typically, you go to warm places in the bye, we’re going to go to Chicago, a little bit different.”
It’s been an eventful week for Kelce, who was also named Tuesday as one of People magazine’s six finalists for its annual Sexiest Man Alive distinction.
His appearance on the TNF broadcast comes as both Jason and Travis are on their bye weeks. Jason’s Eagles are coming off a 28-23 win over the Dallas Cowboys, while Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs took a narrow 21-14 victory over the Miami Dolphins.

The two brothers will play against each other after the bye as the Eagles travel to face Kansas City in a rematch of last year’s Super Bowl on Monday Night Football.
It will be a reunion for the brothers and a crucial matchup among two of the league’s best teams. The Eagles hold the league’s best record at 8-1, while the Chiefs are just behind at 7-2 and tied for the second-best record in the NFL.
