Beau Allen had a less-than-noteworthy seven-year NFL career after the Philadelphia Eagles took him in the seventh round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He spent the first four years of his career with the franchise, helping lead them to a victory in Super Bowl 52 — the first title in Eagles history.
After his time in Philadelphia, Allen joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a three-year, $15 million deal ahead of the 2018 season. He spent two years with the franchise before eventually signing with the New England Patriots on a two-year, $8 million contract. The defensive tackle, however, never appeared in a game for the Patriots after being placed on injured reserve ahead of the season opener. Take a look at more about the veteran below.

Former Eagles Tackle, ‘King Swiftie’ Beau Allen Set To Announce Pick at 2025 NFL Draft
Allen will announce a pick for the Philadelphia Eagles on Day 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The former defensive tackle wrapped up his NFL career with 117 total tackles, 72 solo tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, 15 quarterback hits, one fumble recovery, and two passes defended across 90 games played.
He played his college football for the Wisconsin Badgers, spending four years in the program. While Allen didn’t receive any individual honors, he put up solid numbers with 94 total tackles, 45 solo tackles, 16 tackles for loss, eight sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one pass defended in 50 games played.
Now 33 years old, Allen officially announced his retirement in 2022. Since stepping away from the game, he has focused heavily on living a healthier lifestyle. He has reportedly lost 75 pounds over the past three years, slimming down from his listed playing weight of 327 pounds. Outside of fitness, Allen has stayed connected to football by co-hosting a podcast called “Fax and The King,” alongside Nate Collins, a former NFL defensive tackle who played four seasons in the league.
Allen has also built a reputation off the field as a massive Taylor Swift fan. He’s often attended Swift’s concerts, leading his former teammate and close friend Jason Kelce to crown him the “King Swiftie.” Allen and Kelce even attended the “Eras Tour” together in Miami. Allen has also made appearances on “They Call It Late Night” with Kelce, a late-night sports talk show on ESPN hosted by the future Hall of Fame center.
Allen’s bond with Kelce goes back a long way. He was even present for Kelce’s first date with his now-wife, Kylie Kelce. According to Allen, he had to carry a drunken Jason Kelce out of the bar over his shoulder, calling it the hardest thing he’s ever had to do, especially since Kelce fought him the entire way.
