Joshua Dobbs’ Parents Get Viral Moment
Dobbs’ parents were given their brief air time during the Minnesota Vikings’ Sunday Night Football road game against the Denver Broncos.
There were fans, though, who believed they were less than stoic about being at Empower Field.

The Dobbs had a less-than-energetic look about watching their son play an NFL game. Dobbs himself admitted to ABC’s Martha Raddatz that he hopes to see more energy from them.

“They are very stoic on camera. I need a little more energy out of them, I can’t lie,” Dobbs told Raddatz. “A little smile, you know, maybe like hand up, a cheer, a high five, something,” he added. “So we’re working, we’re practicing. We’re working on it.”
Still, Dobbs has assured that his mom and dad do know how to smile when there is a camera on them, as proven by this Instagram post from him.

Dobbs is a biracial NFL player. His father is of Caucasian ancestry, while his mother is of African-American descent.
Stephanie Dobbs is retired from her past work in the United Parcel Services (UPS). She worked as a regional manager in organizational human resources for the company.
Robert Dobbs is another who holds a prominent corporate position. He has served as senior vice president for Wells Fargo Bank. Robert Dobbs is a graduate of the University of Mississippi, where he earned his master’s in business arts in banking, corporate finance, and securities law.
They currently reside in Alpharetta, Ga., Dobbs’ hometown. He starred at quarterback for Alpharetta High before committing to the University of Tennessee.
While national television audiences saw the less-energetic parents of an NFL quarterback pursuing a playoff spot, Dobbs has insisted that his parents are supportive. They expressed their gratitude in watching their son’s collegiate journey at Tennessee in a 2016 interview with The Tennessean.
