Who Are Drew Lock’s Parents? Everything To Know About Andy and Laura

Drew Lock is the young backup QB of the Seattle Seahawks. But before he became an NFL player, he was raised by a loving family.

Seattle Seahawks backup quarterback Drew Lock occupied the starting role on Week 15’s edition of Monday Night Football. Due to a groin injury to Geno Smith, the former Missouri Tiger is under center when the Seahawks take on the Philadelphia Eagles as they fight for their playoff lives.

The Seahawks will lean on Lock the same way he has leaned on his family all his life. Having a good support system on and off the field is vital to success and luck for Lock, and he has both.

Who Are Drew Lock’s Parents?

Drew was raised by his two loving parents, Andy and Laura, in their hometown of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; throughout Drew’s professional and collegiate careers, he’s had the two of them by his side through it all.

Laura has proven to be a protective mother in the face of adversity and is unshy when it comes to protecting her son from the world when it calls for it. No time was more evident than when she took to social media to defend her son during the COVID-19 year when the Denver Broncos’ room was hit with the infectious disease, forcing them to play a wide receiver at the QB position.

When Lock and his teammates took criticism for the matter, Laura did not hold back her defense of her son.

“Shame — shame on the many for thinking that they can speak of others in damning ways,” Laura wrote on Twitter, now known as X. “Here is the truth — Drew and the QB room requested permission to watch film. They came to the facility on their own time to put in more work.

“His leadership, which seems to be in question by some, brought them to this predicament; Drew asking for more commitment of his QB room than just a normal NFL day. Drew and the QBs even requesting a room at the facility rather than risking ‘trouble’ and meeting at an off-campus site.”

As for Drew’s father, he is as you can imagine a proud, loving parent. As Drew reached his goal of the NFL, his father was there every step of the way.

“It means the world to me that they end up coming to all these games for me,” Lock said after the win. “They did in college, and I’m sure they’re going to try to keep doing that in the NFL. To be able to have them there, to enjoy this night, it’s so special. I ended up making eye contact with them after the second touchdown.”

The Lock family has been together every step of the way, and with Lock starting on Monday night in a big do-or-die playoff situation, Lock knows he will always have his support system behind him, no matter the outcome.
