Week 15 of the NFL season brings the semi-finals of the fantasy football playoffs. With your skill position players set, it’s important not to neglect one of the most important positions. That’s right, kicks do matter! Who will be the top kickers in Week 15? Our Week 15 fantasy kicker rankings have you covered with must starts and those busts to avoid.
Week 15 Kicker Rankings: Top five must starts and streamers
1) Justin Tucker, BAL
2) Jason Sanders, MIA
3) Younghoe Koo, ATL
4) Matt Gay, LAR
5) Rodrigo Blankenship, IND
Justin Tucker is far more important to the Baltimore Ravens than he is to your fantasy football team. So far this season he is averaging 8.5 fantasy points per game. As a result, he lags behind guys like Tyler Bass and Daniel Carlson in fantasy kicker rankings. However, Tucker is a kicker you can trust, and that gives him the advantage in our Week 15 kicker rankings. He also has a favorable matchup against a Jaguars team that has given up the fifth most field goals through the NFL season.
Despite a field goal miss last week, Jason Sanders has been a consistent fantasy football scorer this season. His 10.5 points per game are the second in the NFL. His matchup with the New England Patriots is more favorable than Younghoe Koo, who leads the league with 11.5 points per game.
Therefore, Sanders sneaks ahead of Koo in our Week 15 fantasy kicker rankings.
The top 5 is rounded out by Matt Gay and Rodrigo Blankenship. Gay’s Los Angeles Rams face a New York Jets team that has allowed the sixth-most field goals against them this year. The Jets have also allowed the second-most extra points. Gay has a great opportunity to increase his 7.8 fantasy points per game as a result. Blankenship has emerged as the best young kicker in the NFL and is averaging 8.9 points per game.
Week 15 Kicker Rankings: Harrison Butker rounds out the top 10
6) Harrison Butker, KC
7) Chris Boswell, PIT
8) Will Lutz, NO
9) Greg Zuerlein, DAL
10) Jason Myers, SEA
Harrison Butker and Will Lutz go head to head in a potential Super Bowl preview. Despite the New Orleans Saints losing to the Philadelphia Eagles last week, they have been defensively solid. As a result Butker may find himself called upon for more field goals than extra points in Week 15. Both figure to be amongst the top kickers in Week 15. However, I suspect Butker holds an advantage over Lutz as the Chiefs sneak win number 13 of the season.
Chris Boswell scored just one point in Week 14 as the Pittsburgh Steelers lost to the Bills. He still has 7.3 fantasy points per game, however, and has a great matchup in Week 15. The Steelers face a Cincinnati Bengals team that has allowed the second-most field goals in the 2020 NFL season.
Greg Zuerlein scored a league-high 14 fantasy points in Week 14. A matchup with the San Francisco 49ers gives him the opportunity for another big score this week.
Finally, Jason Myers is one of only two kickers to have a 100 percent success field goal success rate this season. The Seattle Seahawks face a strong Washington Football team defense in Week 15. As a result, there will be plenty of opportunities for Myers to score fantasy points.
