When Anthony Richardson was drafted fourth overall by the Indianapolis Colts, general manager Chris Ballard emphasized his athleticism and mobility as two key reasons for the selection. Not only were those two elements crucial, but Ballard also acknowledged Richardson’s potential to be a superstar in the NFL.
“I didn’t want to look up and watch him be a superstar somewhere else,” Ballard said. “If he’s gonna be a superstar, he’s gonna be a superstar for the Colts.”
And, after just one preseason game, Richardson impressed not only Ballard but head coach Frank Reich enough to merit being named the starter for the season. With QB1 officially set in stone, Richardson has returned to practice with an even bigger target on his back now.
Well, that didn’t seem to phase him as he was filmed showing off his unreal arm talent and athleticism at practice this morning.
