The Miami Dolphins will face the Green Bay Packers in Week 13. Here’s the latest fantasy football news and advice to help you with your lineups this week and moving forward, especially regarding WR Tyreek Hill.
Is Tyreek Hill Playing in Week 13?
Updated at 11:30 AM ET on Sunday, December 8
Hill is active for today's game.
Tyreek Hill is still battling a wrist injury and was limited for the Miami Dolphins’ Monday walkthrough. Hill was downgraded to DNP on Tuesday, but that was due to personal reasons.
Hill is in no danger of missing Thursday’s game. He fully practiced on Wednesday, and the Dolphins formally removed him from their injury report. Hill will not carry a designation into Week 13.
The Dolphins don’t appear to have any long-term concerns about Hill’s wrist issue. He was considered a game-time decision for Week 10 but ultimately suited up. Hill has been limited for certain practice sessions since but hasn’t missed any game action.
Despite Tua Tagovailoa returning under center in Week 8, Hill still hasn’t managed an explosive fantasy performance. He’s been a top-25 receiver just once (Week 11) since Tua re-entered the lineup.

Should You Start or Sit Tyreek Hill in Week 13?
That 80-yard touchdown that Tyreek Hill scored in Week 1 feels like a lifetime ago. That was the last time Miami’s WR1 had a catch that gained more than 30 yards, a drought that I would have told you was close to impossible if you prompted me in August.
But here we are. Now what?
I think we are OK and let me tell you why. During Miami’s three-game win streak, they’ve brought Hill closer to the line of scrimmage. His aDOT in those games is down 44.7% from the first nine weeks. While some people would sweat that and read it as a ceiling suppressant, I don’t mind it given the rest-of-season schedule.
- Thursday at Green Bay Packers: 23rd in YAC prevention
- Week 14 vs. New York Jets: fifth
- Week 15 at Houston Texans: 27th
- Week 16 vs. San Francisco 49ers: 18th
- Week 17 at Cleveland Browns: 30th
If the ‘Fins are going to make a point of getting the ball in Hill’s hands on shallow routes as opposed to running him vertically, these teams (with the exception of the Jets) are going to have to tackle well above their current metrics to stop him from putting up some big numbers.
I’m hanging in there. At the minimum, I think we see Hill post his third top-25 finish of the season. We saw last week that Miami is more than happy to pick at a weakness if it’s working (Jonnu Smith and Jaylen Waddle combined for a 50% target share last week against the Patriots).

PFN Insight on the Jets' Defense
Since Robert Saleh's departure, the New York Jets' defense hasn't been pretty. At the time of his firing, this was a top-three unit, with two top-five weeks and two others that had ranked seventh through five weeks.
They are now barely inside the top 10 overall, with just one top-10 week, two top-12 performances, and three weeks ranked outside the top 20 in the last seven games.
This is a frustrating downturn for a unit that Saleh and Jeff Ulbrich had built into a juggernaut together. They inherited a bit of a mess from the Adam Gase regime, and while the first year (2021) was equally bad, the Jets had been a top-five unit in each of the last two seasons.
This week was strange for the Jets because, for a large part of the first half, the entire team looked to be playing well. Driven by some big special-teams plays, they stifled the Seahawks. However, the final result was an average one for the defense, ranking 14th for the week.
The lack of turnovers continues to be an issue for New York (6.5%; 28th). It's by far their worst trait, and we've been expecting it to regress to the mean because their other defensive metrics are largely pretty good.
They are a top-five team in pressure without blitzing (36.3; fourth) and lead the league in sack rate (9.8%). The only other slight area of concern in the run game was an area where they struggled against Seattle.

New York Jets at Miami Dolphins Trends
New York Jets
Team: The Jets might be a great college team, but this is the pro, and we play on Sundays:
QB: Remember the version of Aaron Rodgers that was in scoring position the second he stepped on the field? It’s long gone. Halloween was the last time he had a 30-yard completion.
Offense: New York picked up 56.8% of their third downs through two weeks, a rate that sits at just 34.2% since
Defense: The Jets have not intercepted a pass since Week 5 (Sam Darnold).
Fantasy: Garrett Wilson has been held at least 50% under his PPR expectation, given where his targets occurred in consecutive games (his two worst performances of the season).
Betting: The Jets have covered just two of their past eight road games in the division.
Miami Dolphins
Team: The cold weather narratives gained steam last week, so it’s worth noting that Miami’s season ends with games in Cleveland and New York.
QB: Should Miami just bank on Tua Tagovailoa from the jump? For the season, he’s completing 76.3% of first-down passes, a rate that sits at 84.8% over the past two weeks (28-of-33).
Offense: After averaging 29 points per game in Tua Tagovailoa’s first five games back from the concussion, the Dolphins managed just 17 points against the Packers on Thursday night (seven coming on a tipped pass that found Tyreek Hill with just over three minutes left in what was a 19-point game).
Defense: The Dolphins blitzed on one-quarter of Packer dropbacks last week and failed to record a single sack. They’ve called a blitz at least that often in six games this season and have failed to get home in four of those games.
Fantasy: The bottom line for Tyreek Hill fantasy managers worked last week (6-83-1), but don’t lose track of the fact that 40.4% of his production came on a tipped pass in garbage time that was meant for Jonnu Smith.
Betting: The Dolphins have covered 13 of their past 17 divisional games.
