Atlanta Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier’s fantasy football outlook in 2024 isn’t looking so great as fellow running back Bijan Robinson enters his second season.
Below, I’ll check out Allgeier’s fantasy value and see if any situation warrants drafting him.
Tyler Allgeier’s Fantasy Profile for the 2024 NFL Season
Allgeier will be the RB47, which could make him a prime candidate for the ZeroRB fantasy football strategy.
According to TruMedia, Allgeier had 186 carries for 683 yards and four touchdowns in 2023. He averaged a mere 3.7 yards per carry.
Allgeier got plenty of opportunities with Arthur Smith as head coach. Smith is known for being a run-based offensive coordinator, and even with that, Allgeier finished as the RB35 in PPR leagues.
This was with a rookie Bijan Robinson. But now, with Zac Robinson taking over as offensive coordinator and Raheem Morris replacing Smith as head coach, Allgeier’s role is bound to be reduced.
Robinson averaged 4.6 yards per carry on 214 tries. So, not only did Robinson have more carries than Allgeier last year, but he also outperformed him massively.
The Falcons also have a massive upgrade at quarterback, with Kirk Cousins replacing Desmond Ridder, so we should see more passing than the 31.2 attempts per game in 2023, which was the 25th-most in the NFL.
The Falcons have a Week 12 bye week.
Is Allgeier a Good Fantasy Pick?
Going as the RB47 and No. 155 overall, Allgeier will likely go undrafted more often than not. There’s just not a lot of upside in this situation.
Allgeier is inefficient, won’t get many pass-catching opportunities, and his carries should be reduced.

In June, Morris said they want to get Robinson the ball as much as possible this season.
“In as simple of a form as you can possibly make it,” Morris said via AtlantaFalcons.com, “it’s ‘get the ball to Bijan as much as you can in as many ideal situations that you possibly can.’”
There’s just not any value here — hard pass.
