Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce officially has his first movie role.

For months, there have been rumors that Kelce would make an appearance in “Happy Gilmore 2,” as he’s a huge fan of Adam Sandler and the first film. Now, we have confirmation that Kelce will appear in the sequel.

Here’s everything we know about Kelce’s role in the upcoming film.

Travis Kelce is Officially in ‘Happy Gilmore 2’

During an appearance on “The Tonight Show,” Sandler confirmed that Kelce will be in highly anticipated “Happy Gilmore 2.”

“We have a nice something for Travis,” Sandler told Jimmy Fallon. “He’s gonna come by. He’s a very nice guy. You guys would love him in real life. What a big, handsome guy. Funny and cool as hell. He’s a stud, and he’s so funny.”

Sandler was the most recent guest on the Kelce brothers’ podcast “New Heights,” where they further discussed Kelce’s role in “Happy Gilmore 2.”

“The whole thing was to get to hang out with Travis. That’s why we put [the movie] together,” Sandler joked. “Travis, by the way, thank you — I heard you talking about it on your show.

“We were talking about you playing my son, literally, while we were writing it. Like six months ago, we were like, ‘Imagine if Travis was my first baby. How funny would that be?!”

Travis responded by saying he already has Happy’s swing down.

It remains to be seen what role Travis will play in the movie, but it certainly seems possible that he’ll be Happy’s son based on this conversation. Another possible role for Kelce would be Shooter McGavin’s caddie, which Jason Kelce recently suggested on “New Heights.”

We’ve already gotten a taste of Travis’ acting skills, as he previously tried to shoot down rumors that he was in “Happy Gilmore 2,” calling the rumblings nothing but “a conspiracy theory” on a recent podcast episode.

However, when pressed by his brother, Jason, he did leave open the possibility that he would appear in the film: “The movie is getting made, and I’m looking for movie deals…”

Both brothers love Adam Sandler and the movie “Happy Gilmore,” which came out in 1996.

While this will be Travis’ first movie role, it won’t be his first foray into Hollywood.

He recently hosted the first season of the game show “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” on Amazon Prime Video.

Also, on “New Heights,” Travis and Jason alluded to their meetings with various studios in Los Angeles about possible movie and television opportunities. The brothers just inked a three-year, $100 million deal with Wondery centered around the “New Heights” podcast.
