Kayla Nicole and Travis Kelce dated each other off and on from 2017 to 2022. However, the sports journalist and influencer is still being dragged into matters concerning the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.
She didn’t help her case during her appearance on Angel Reese’s podcast Unapologetically Angel last week. However, Nicole agrees that she ended up learning a lot after fans’ reactions.
Kayla Nicole Acknowledges Her Shortfalls Amidst the Travis Kelce Questions
Last week during the podcast with Reese, Nicole frankly talked about her past relationship with Kelce and the implications of him now being with Taylor Swift. She did so without even naming them both. However, fans didn’t like her approach of constantly talking about Kelce and Swift.
This caused her to receive backlash from Kelce and Swift fans. On Wednesday, during her podcast I Am Athlete Daily with ex-NFL stars Martellus Bennett and Brandon Marshall, she reviewed her performance on the podcast.
“I felt like there were moments where I articulated myself in a really good way,” said Nicole. “There were moments where if I could go back, I would maybe change the way that I said things because it didn’t fully embody my character or my heart.”

Nicole further highlighted that she isn’t media-trained and PR savvy like the athletes and other stars are.
“I feel like I’m learning,” said Nicole. “I’m trying to continue to have the courage to stand in my power to be myself, to answer questions honestly and transparently.”

Throughout the podcast, Nicole did not mention either the Chiefs man or his current girlfriend. However, she did talk about their influence on her life. She talked about the hate she has been receiving on social media from a section of Swift fans.
“You can go to my most recent post and there will be people debating each other why I’m worthless and I’ll never be a talented person and I have no career,” said Nicole to Reese. On Kelce, she stated that they acknowledge each other in public places without talking due to “his new situation.”

Nicole also highlighted that Kelce is a good guy and reminisced about her relationship with the three-time Super Bowl champion. “That was a good time in my life,” said Nicole about dating him.
