Travis Hunter Promises To Shout Out Shedeur Sanders If He Wins Heisman

“Just for you, bro,” Hunter teased. “Just for you, bro… Just so I can hit your [pose].”

Hunter also said that the spotlight wouldn’t just be for him. The Colorado CB/WR made it clear he’d dedicate the moment to his entire team, saying, “I’ve gotta shout out the team, bro, because without the team, we couldn’t get as far, and I couldn’t get no individual award.”

The Colorado star is also keeping the team over his personal milestones. He made it clear that the Buffaloes are a priority.

“Somebody asked me yesterday, ‘Would you rather go to the College Football Playoff or win the Heisman?’ The first thing I said was College Football Playoff. Heisman’s gonna come if we get to the CFP. We gotta get there first.” [29:30]

Hunter is being challenged by Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty for the Heisman Trophy. Still, the unique ability to dominate on offense and defense, combined with Colorado’s strong performance in the Big 12 conference so far, has given him an edge

Sanders and Hunter Are Top 2025 NFL Draft Prospects

Both Hunter and Sanders are topping mock drafts left, right, and center.

Coach Prime’s son officially confirmed he’s headed for the NFL, announcing to his teammates that his college career would wrap up after the 2024 season.

In a viral video, Sanders waved off registering for classes, declaring, “Man, I’m going to the league. … I know after last game, y’all are not going to see me for a good reason.”

A 6-foot-2 signal-caller, Sanders has posted impressive stats with 5,821 passing yards and 48 touchdowns for the Buffaloes under the guidance of his father, Deion Sanders.

Meanwhile, Hunter is heavily projected to land with the New England Patriots, who currently hold the No. 1 pick. Hunter’s elite athleticism would be invaluable for the Patriots, who are currently at 2-7.

The 21-year-old athlete has excelled on both sides of the ball. As a receiver, Hunter has 60 receptions for 757 yards and eight touchdowns. As a cornerback, he has 21 tackles, seven pass breakups, and two interceptions. His versatility could give New England a crucial boost on offense or defense.
