Travis Hunter is unstoppable. The top NFL Draft prospect of the 2025 class gave a shout-out to the Colorado Buffaloes while speaking to reporters on Thursday. He is now in Indianapolis to attend the NFL Combine event in Lucas Oil Stadium.
He was expected to work out, but later in the day, he announced that he wouldn’t be participating and would rather focus on interviews and meetings with different franchises. Before taking the podium for the presser, a reporter asked him about his time in Colorado. Hunter cherished the moments and said that it was quite special.

Travis Hunter Gives a Shoutout to Colorado
The 21-year-old star played in Colorado for two years after spending significant time at Jackson State. He found his mentor in legendary coach Deion Sanders and transferred to the Buffaloes along with him in 2023. The first season was a debacle, although a significant improvement from 1-11.
They finished the season with a 4-8 record, and in the following year, Colorado managed to punch a postseason Bowl game ticket for the first time since 2020. With nine wins, the program now finds itself in a strong position in the Big 12.
His dominant performance helped him finish the Heisman podium and win other accolades, like the Chuck Bednarik and Biletnikoff awards, in the 2024 season.

While speaking to the reporters on Thursday, he recalled the success and said Colorado was a special place. “It was very special. I went out there and did something nobody else could do. They have been proud of me since I got there,” Hunter said with a big smile.
Being a top prospect, Hunter draws interest from several NFL teams, but coach Deion Sanders had previously said that he wouldn’t allow teams that could forbid Hunter from playing on both sides of the ball.
“It is abundantly clear that this is what he wants,” Sanders said back in December 2024 about Hunter’s ambitions. “This is who he is, and it’s not going to work unless you entertain this and give him the assurance that this is what’s going to happen. You’ve got to understand, Travis Hunter has another year of eligibility. So if you start the foolishness, he can (come back to school),” he added.
Looking at the current scenario, the youngster could find a home in Tennessee, and if the Titans pass on him, the Browns and the Giants might pick him.
