It all started with his playing career, though, a 17-season career following being taken No. 13 in the 1997 NFL Draft.
Over the entire length of his career, Gonzalez made a total of $74.3 million. In the first 12 years of his career, when he played for the Kansas City Chiefs, he made a total of $41.6 million. Then, in the final five years of his career with the Atlanta Falcons, Gonzalez made an additional $32.65 million.
