The New York Giants will face the Dallas Cowboys in Week 13. Here’s the latest fantasy football news and advice to help you with your lineups this week and moving forward, especially regarding QB Tommy DeVito.
Is Tommy DeVito Playing in Week 13?
Drew Lock, your time is coming.
New York Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito is battling a right forearm injury and is considered a “long shot” to face the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, per ESPN’s Jordan Raanan.
DeVito did not travel to Dallas with the rest of the Giants’ roster. Instead, he is undergoing further evaluations and is expected to join the Giants in Texas later on Wednesday.
DeVito wasn’t listed on the Giants’ injury report on Monday but was limited on Tuesday, when he told reporters his entire body was sore. The former undrafted free agent was downgraded to DNP for Wednesday’s practice.
After Sunday’s loss to the Buccaneers, Daboll admitted that DeVito had gotten “dinged up” but was hopeful that the second-year quarterback would be available for Week 13. Clearly, DeVito hasn’t progressed as hoped during the week.
Lock was passed over for starting duties after the Giants released Daniel Jones last week. New York gave him a one-year, $5 million contract in March before watching him struggle during the preseason.
Lock completed just four of 10 passes for 17 yards and an interception in the exhibition season. Ninety-three quarterbacks took at least 10 dropbacks during the 2024 preseason; Lock’s efficiency (-0.98) ranked 92nd.

Should You Start or Sit Tommy DeVito in Week 13?
A forearm injury limited Tommy DeVito at practice on Tuesday, but Brian Daboll did mention that he is “hopeful” when it comes to the status of his quarterback. Fantasy managers need not worry about this situation in anything but Superflex spots.
In those leagues, Drew Lock is the addition to make, and I actually think he carries a little more fantasy upside than the incumbent.
