Titans Predicted To Acquire 6′3″ Acrobatic WR to Headline Offense Potentially Run by Miami’s Cam Ward

The Tennessee Titans are more than likely going to select their quarterback of the future with the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

While Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders is certainly an option for the Titans, most would be surprised if Miami’s Cam Ward isn’t their choice. Ward joining the No. 27-placed offense in PFSN’s metric is far from ideal, which is why Tennessee’s front office needs to prioritize adding weapons for the Hurricanes QB.

Their current receiving room is highlighted by Calvin Ridley, Treylon Burks, and Van Jefferson, making clear their need for upgrades.

Titans Predicted To Acquire George Pickens

The Pittsburgh Steelers traded for star wide receiver DK Metcalf, who shares a similar playstyle to George Pickens, earlier this offseason. On top of that, Metcalf inked a four-year, $132 million contract, begging the question of if Pickens is bound to see a change of scenery.

The Steelers may envision a heavy play-action offensive scheme, which allows Pickens and Metcalf to take the top off of defenders, or they are quietly exploring trade offers for the former. If that’s the case, Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton predicts the Titans to send a 2025 fourth- and fifth-round pick to Pittsburgh in exchange for Pickens.

“After making a significant investment in the two-time Pro Bowler [Metcalf], the Steelers are unlikely to give Pickens a massive pay raise once his contract expires next offseason,” Moton wrote. “While trading Pickens would be a loss for the 2025 term, the Steelers can get ahead of a likely divorce from him and get draft capital for a productive young receiver. If the Titans plan to take Cam Ward with the No. 1 pick, they can get him some help before the draft.”

Investing in Pickens isn’t a bad idea for the Titans, assuming his on- and off-field antics are kept to a minimum. He’s been known to make headlines for negative reasons throughout his three seasons in Pittsburgh. The production on the field and acrobatic catch ability make up for it, as he recorded 59 receptions, 900 yards, and three touchdowns in 14 appearances last season.

For the Steelers, they avoid paying two weapons of similar archetype a huge deal or losing Pickens for nothing next summer. He could also become increasingly frustrated with the Steelers’ inconsistent and unstable QB situation while the Titans appear to have their future lined up.

Tennessee’s QB room was arguably the worst in the NFL last season, as PFSN slotted Will Levis No. 34 in their QB+ data. However, if Pickens is aware of the Titans’ blueprint and supports it, much success could come from this hypothetical trade.

Whether it’s Pickens requesting a trade out of Pittsburgh or the Steelers viewing a separation as the best outcome, the Titans need to pick up the phone right away.
