Before the Saints’ Week 14 30-9 win over the Jets, the last time New Orleans won a game was Week 8 against the Buccaneers. Saints QB Jameis Winston tore his ACL, and Trevor Siemian sealed the victory. Can this rag-tag crew of offensive players be the thorn in Tampa’s side?

The Saints’ offense faces heavy losses tonight in Sunday Night Football

Despite having both RBs Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram at their disposal, the Saints are still missing quite a bit of talent on the field. LT Terron Armstead and RT Ryan Ramczyk remain sidelined, WR Deonte Harris is suspended, and LG Andrus Peat is still on injured reserve. New Orleans finally put together a full 60 minutes of football in Week 14, but the Buccaneers’ offense presents a much more difficult challenge.

The defense is still playing well but will need support from the offense to make any sort of impact in this game. CB Marshon Lattimore is infamous for locking down Tampa WR Mike Evans. Silencing any threat possible tonight will be paramount if the Saints want to win on Sunday Night Football.

How high can the Buccaneers rise?

The Cardinals’ Week 14 loss to the Los Angeles Rams moved Tampa Bay into the NFC’s second seed. Should they win out, that seed will be confirmed.

However, if the Packers stumble, the Buccaneers are primed to take over the top spot in the NFC. Brady is having another MVP-caliber season. The defense is firing on all cylinders. But should Tampa really be the No. 1 seed if they can’t stop Taysom Hill?

The Buccaneers play a dominating 60 minutes of football. While New Orleans may keep it close at times, the talent gap and Sean Payton’s positive COVID-19 test will be too much to overcome. The Bucs win and keep pace with the NFC’s leaders.
