After six seasons with the New York Giants, during which he earned two Pro Bowl nods, Saquon Barkley made headlines by signing a $37.75 million contract with the Philadelphia Eagles last offseason. He’s been worth every penny, seriously challenging the single-season rushing record and leading the Eagles to a Super Bowl-winning campaign.
Barkley has become a household name and one of the highest-paid running backs in the league. With his on-field success, many fans have grown curious about his personal life, including who he’s dating. Here’s everything you need to know about Barkley’s relationship with Anna Congdon, his longtime girlfriend and now fiancée.
Meet Anna Congdon, an Athlete in Her Own Right
Congdon also has a sports background; she played basketball at Forest City Regional High School. She was named the team’s captain in 2016 when they won their first district title in five years. The team’s Facebook page celebrated their win at the Mohegan Sun Arena with a heartwarming snap of Congdon with her teammate, Kendra Bendyk.
Following their victory, Congdon’s teammate shared that her motivation to win the game came from the fact that she wanted to look at her captain’s face and say they played their best basketball, and that’s exactly what they did.
Saquon and Anna’s relationship dates back to college. They first met at Penn State in 2016 and attended the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity formal together in December of that year.

The couple became social media official in February 2017 as second-semester freshmen.
While the couple isn’t married, they do have two children together: Jada Clare, who was born in 2018, and Saquon Jr., who was born in 2022. Around Super Bowl LIX, Barkley confirmed that he has been engaged to Congdon for six months.
If you recognize Congdon, it’s likely because you have seen her on social media. She has a huge following across her Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) accounts.
Anna is Saquon’s biggest supporter, possibly second only to his daughter.
Saquon Barkley Embraces Fatherhood
Congdon is an amazingly dedicated mother, and her significant other shares a similar level of enthusiasm for parenting.
Barkley has shared his obvious love for his daughter Jada since Day 1, saying: “I’m just honored and blessed that I have a daughter in Jada and be able to enter fatherhood and always gotta try to set the standard for her because her image of a man is gonna be off of me.”
You got that right, Barkley.
Barkley also speaks about his son in glowing terms, calling him a beautiful baby and saying: “He lights up the room. Amazing smile. Jada is being an amazing big sister. Anna, obviously an amazing mom. We’ve got a beautiful little family.”
One of the main reasons Barkley returned to college and finished his degree at Penn State in 2022 was to be a role model for his children. Of course, Congdon was one of his biggest supporters along the way.
“I also thought it would be good to get my degree to set an example for my siblings and my family. I want my kids to be goal setters, and whatever they want to accomplish, they can do it if they put their mind to it,” Barkley explained. “I would love for them to one day say, ‘I want to accomplish this and actually see it come to fruition.'”
This family of four is adorable, and Congdon will be right by Barkley’s side as he looks to continue his successful career in Philadelphia.
