Russell Wilson Accepting Offers on Denver Mansion Amid Speculation He’ll Be Released

It appears that Russell Wilson's time with the Broncos is coming to an end as he is taking offers on his $25 million mansion in Denver.

Amid speculation that quarterback Russell Wilson will be leaving the Denver Broncos, he and his wife Ciara are accepting offers for their Denver-area mansion, per reports.

The couple purchased the Cherry Hills Village home for $25 million shortly after Wilson was traded from Seattle in 2022. Along with accepting offers on the home, the couple is providing tours to prospective buyers, per the report.

The 20,000-square-foot home on five acres has four bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, plus his-and-hers walk-in closets, offices, and bathroom suites, according to a previous listing of the property. There’s also a 2,590-square-foot indoor swimming pool, a basketball court, and a guest apartment with its own kitchen.

In Wilson’s first season with the Broncos, the team floundered to a 5-12 finish while he put up the worst numbers of his career.

Wilson’s future in Denver has been a hot topic ever since he was benched during the Broncos’ final games of the 2023 season. He was benched despite having a solid season up to that point.

Wilson’s 66.4 completion percentage last season was his highest since 2020. He also threw 26 touchdowns last year against just eight picks. Yet, it wasn’t enough to get the Broncos over the hump, and they missed the playoffs for the eighth straight season.

When asked about his decision to bench Wilson, Denver head coach Sean Payton said it had everything to do with trying to win games. The Broncos, who at that point were still in the mix of the AFC playoffs, were coming off consecutive losses to the Detroit Lions and New England Patriots.

After the decision was announced, Wilson made a post on X, saying he was “Looking forward to what’s next.”

Denver won its first game after benching Wilson, but finished the season with a road loss against the Las Vegas Raiders, dropping to 8-9 on the season.

Wilson said at the end of the year that he still wanted to continue his career with the Broncos despite the benching. Payton also said around that time that a final decision had not been made on Wilson, who is only two years into a massive five-year, $242.59 million contract that includes a potential out after the 2025 season.

With the recent news regarding his mansion, it seems things may have changed within the Broncos’ facility when it comes to Wilson, who is apparently preparing to move on.

Instead, Denver could turn to an affordable option under center, potentially targeting a quarterback in the first round of the draft or somebody in free agency. The overarching goal is to find a better fit for Payton’s offense and lead his roster into the postseason.
