The Green Bay Packers have a fascinating WR corps. None of their top five wide receivers are bad. They also don’t have a true standout. This creates a difficult situation to navigate in fantasy football. How should fantasy managers approach Romeo Doubs in 2024 drafts?
Should You Select Romeo Doubs at His Current ADP?
PPR Industry Consensus ADP: 138th Overall (WR53)
- Inconsistent Production: Doubs averaged 10.3 fantasy points per game last season, finishing as the overall WR46. While those numbers justify rostering him, Doubs was often a desperation Flex play due to his erratic production.
- Challenges in Green Bay’s WR Corps: The Packers have a deep WR room, making it difficult to predict who will perform each week. While Jordan Love’s development is promising, there isn’t a clear standout WR, and targets are likely to be spread out among several players.
- Role in the Offense: Doubs saw a 17.1% target share last season, which was in line with other Packers’ WRs like Jayden Reed and Christian Watson. The team rotates all its receivers, which limits Doubs’ upside and makes it challenging to trust him as a consistent fantasy option.
- ADP Analysis: Doubs is currently being drafted as WR53, No. 138 overall. I have him ranked similarly at WR56, indicating limited upside and minimal interest in targeting him in drafts.
- Final Verdict: Doubs is a capable WR, but the crowded WR corps in Green Bay and the uncertainty surrounding target distribution make him a risky pick. While he may have some value, there are likely better options available at a similar ADP.

Doubs’ Fantasy Profile for the 2024 Fantasy Season
One player I had absolutely no interest in drafting last season was Doubs. Simply put, I didn’t buy the talent. So, did Doubs prove me wrong? Kind of.
Doubs averaged 10.3 fantasy points per game last season. He was the overall WR46. Those numbers are certainly good enough to warrant rostering in fantasy leagues, but Doubs was never more than a desperation Flex play at best.
Doubs was very erratic last season, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. When talking about a fringe fantasy starter, we’d much rather have the guy giving us five games of 16+ fantasy points and eight complete duds over the guy who just gets us 10 every week.
The problem with inconsistent production, though, is when it’s impossible to predict. There is arguably no team where that is more pronounced than the Packers.
Jordan Love’s rise into a very good NFL quarterback is great for the Packers’ offense. All of the WRs will be better because of it. Unfortunately, there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to who pops when.
In terms of talent, it goes Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, Doubs, Christian Watson, and Bo Melton. That’s not to say Melton is bad. This is a very deep WR room with five capable guys. That’s great for the Packers and terrible for fantasy managers.
Reed may be the best of them, but even he was only able to command a 17.6% target share last season. That was still higher than Doubs’ 17.1%, though. Watson led the team in target share at 17.7%. If I had to guess, that was the lowest leading target share on an NFL team last season.
Doubs was targeted on just 18.9% of his routes run, 60th in the league. He averaged 1.33 yards per route run (64th).
This is the nature of the Packers’ passing attack. They have capable wide receivers and they rotate all of them. While it’s certainly possible someone stands out among the crowd this season, it’s not likely. And if it does happen, it will probably be Reed.
Is Doubs a Good Value in Fantasy Drafts?
Doubs’ ADP sits at WR53, No. 139 overall. He’s going 10 spots behind Watson and 18 spots behind Reed. I have Doubs ranked as my WR56, which is not too far behind consensus.
Ultimately, I just don’t have much interest these wide receivers outside of Watson, if he falls below ADP. Reed is too expensive given what his role is. Watson is the one who offers the most upside, but also carries the most risk. Doubs is capable enough, but there does not appear to be much upside.
Because he’s the cheapest, Wicks is interesting, but the more I think about it, the less I buy any sort of substantial role increase. 2024 Doubs will probably look a lot like 2023 Doubs. That’s not someone I am particularly interested in targeting.
