Is Rashid Shaheed Playing in Week 7?

Week 7 Status: OUT

Although Rashid Shaheed played 80% of the Saints’ offensive snaps and garnered seven targets in Week 6, that will be the last we see of him this season. Shaheed underwent meniscus surgery on Wednesday, and it was determined he’ll need a multi-month recovery that takes him out of commission the rest of the season.

It’s an unfortunate end to a promising season for Shaheed, who had 20 catches for 349 yards and three touchdowns in just six games. His 17.4 yards per catch average ranked fifth-highest in the NFL through six weeks.

For Thursday, fellow starting WR Chris Olave (concussion) won’t play, either. Spencer Rattler will have to lean on rookies Bub Means, Mason Tipton, and journeyman Cedrick Wilson Jr. as his primary receivers against Denver.

We’ll continue to monitor the Saints’ injury report. You can also visit and bookmark our NFL Injury Tracker and Fantasy News Tracker for the latest updates.
