Las Vegas Raiders fans are growing tired of the poor performance and results on the field and are now taking their frustrations out on owner Mark Davis. Davis was seated in SoFi Stadium watching the Raiders take on the Chargers when fans marched in front of his box with a vehement message for the owner to fire head coach Josh McDaniels.
Can you blame them? The Raiders went from Derek Carr under center to Jimmy Garoppolo while alienating star receiver Davante Adams and bell-cow running back Josh Jacobs. The Raiders organization hasn’t exactly operated like a well-oiled machine. Most of the Raiders’ history has been mired in dysfunction.
From the current NFL standings to team depth charts to coverage of every game in the 18-week NFL schedule, we have all the news from around the league to keep you up to speed!
Will Mark Davis Fire Josh McDaniels?
The Raiders’ front office under Al Davis notoriously had a trigger finger when it came to the tenure of head coaches. Davis expected to see immediate results on the field, and if they didn’t come, a new coaching search began.
Under Mark Davis, the Raiders have been more patient. But as the boos grow louder, the front office may be forced to act.

Is McDaniels Cut Out for a Head Coaching Gig?
McDaniels has been considered one of the brightest offensive minds in football for a long time. He has his detractors who point to the fact that his success as an offensive coordinator is attributed to one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, Tom Brady.

McDaniels’ success as an offensive coordinator has not translated to head coaching. He failed as a head coach during his Broncos tenure, and his current Raiders stint has underwhelmed.

Part of the issues with McDaniels may not be in the Xs and Os but, rather, who he chooses to run his offense. During his career as the Broncos’ head coach, McDaniels hand-picked former Florida Gators great Tim Tebow as his signal-caller, whose QB tenure in Denver was short-lived.
McDaniels and the Raiders’ front office decided to move on from veteran signal-caller Carr in the offseason. The parting seemed best for both parties.
Moving to New Orleans gave Carr’s career a fresh start while the Raiders could explore different, more exciting options. By more exciting options, most people didn’t think of Garoppolo.
Vegas seemed to accept the safest option, and instead of taking the opportunity to upgrade the position, they downgraded from Carr. Let that sink in. McDaniel’s choice of QBs should be scrutinized, and this time, it may cost him his job.
