Madelyne Barnes, the girlfriend of Texas QB Quinn Ewers, posted a heartwarming message that may indicate the star player's future.

Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers potentially played his final home game at Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium in Week 13. By all accounts, Ewers is expected to be selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. As a result, Ewers’ girlfriend, Madelyne Barnes, took to Instagram to express her excitement and happiness regarding the situation.

What Did Madelyne Barnes Post About Quinn Ewers on Social Media?

In a social media Instagram story yesterday, Barnes posted a picture of herself and Ewers walking arm in arm through the stadium hallway. Barnes capped the heartwarming moment by including the caption “Last home game” alongside an emoji and Ewer’s Instagram handle.

While Ewers has not officially declared for the draft, Barnes’ social media release does indicate that the 6’2″, 210-pound quarterback has intentions of this season being his last in Longhorn orange. Should he formally announce his commitment to leaving Texas, Ewers is projected to be one of the most coveted quarterbacks available to NFL teams.

    Quinn Ewers’ Draft Projection

In Pro Football Network’s most recent 2025 seven-round NFL Mock Draft, Ian Cummings projected that the Southlake, Texas native Ewers would be selected by the Tennessee Titans 35th overall. While it is still too early to know which team Ewers will be drafted by, the Titans drafting Ewers makes a lot of sense for both the player and the franchise.

“In this 2025 NFL Mock Draft, the Titans manage to add Will Levis’ potential replacement in Quinn Ewers — ironically at the top of Round 2, the same place Levis was taken. Ewers doesn’t quite have Levis’ arm strength, but he’s a much more natural off-platform passer, with superior accuracy and control in high-pressure situations.”

From a team perspective, Ewers could finally be the answer head coach Brian Callahan has been looking for at quarterback. This season, Callahan has been extremely vocal and direct in his criticism of current QB Will Levis and his sophomore campaign struggles.

“It was dumb. It was the same exact thing he did last week, and he cost us points in the red zone, and it is what it is. He’s a grownup and he knows better and so I was really irritated that he cost us three points in a game that we probably needed it.”

In seven games played this season, Levis only boasts an 8:8 touchdown-to-interception ratio, winning only one game in the process and notching the league’s 31st-best QB rating of 32.7. In addition, he has struggled on numerous occasions to get star teammates Calvin Ridley and Tony Pollard involved early in games when the score is still within reach.

Should the Titans or any other NFL team draft Ewers for next season, they will be getting a quarterback known for his pinpoint accuracy and elite ability to control and pass within the pocket. As Barnes’ post clearly shows, there is a good chance football fans will not have to wait too long before seeing Ewers play professional football in the NFL.
