NFL Week 16 Player Props: Spectacular Saturday edition

With nearly 16 units of profit on the year, we take a look at our Week 16 NFL player props to hopefully add to the success of the 2019 prop bet season!

It has finally arrived, Saturday NFL action is upon us! Action on a Saturday can only mean one thing, the holidays are right around the corner. In this Week 16 NFL player props article, we will specifically focus on the three Saturday games, where we have a prop in each one. On a long road trip this morning, the Fanduel Sportbook app is my best friend, and these are the props that will bring me holiday joy.

Our player props have been incredibly successful on the year, we are up nearly 16 units of profit. The Pro Football Network team as a whole is up nearly 33.5 units. Last week, we hit big thanks to our Chris Carson play. He had over 130 yards and two touchdowns for a nice +410 score. It was a hail mary play, but we will take it nonetheless. Without further ado, here are PFN’s Week 16 NFL player prop bets.

Player prop of the week (okay, maybe just of Saturday)

DeAndre Hopkins to put his team on his back

The Houston Texans are playing to keep a stranglehold on their division. A win here would pretty much guarantee that, even with a big matchup next week against Tennessee. Meanwhile, they will be going up against Jameis Winston, who is playing for a new contract. For the first time in NFL history, a quarterback has put together back to back 450 yard games. It may be a surprise to some that that QB is Winston. With a total in the game sitting at 50, there is likely to be fireworks in this one.

When I see Hopkins against the awful Bucs secondary in a primetime must-win game, it’s all in time. The Bucs’ defense allows 31 points per game at home. Deshaun Watson will hopefully be able to limit the turnovers this time around and cash in against this bad secondary. The over in yardage for Hopkins can come in the first half. He will likely score as well, maybe even two touchdowns. Be safe though and hit the anytime score paying off at -135. A unit on the yards and the “to score” prop bets to start the day off with a win.

Week 16 NFL player props pick: Hopkins anytime TD scorer (1 unit) and over 89.5 receiving yards (1 unit)

    Devin Singletary for the win

The New England Patriots defense is one of the most elite units in the NFL right now. But over the last few weeks, we have started to see a chink in their armor. Against the Cincinnati Bengals, running back Joe Mixon was able to put up over 130 rushing yards against this team. I expect the same kind of performance from the Buffalo Bills.

Obviously, this is going to be a low scoring game. The total at the moment sits at 37, thanks to both of these defenses. Both defenses have the same weakness, defending the run. I can see both teams rushing the ball a lot, scared to throw on these impressive secondaries. That plays right into my Devin Singletary prop. In a low scoring, close game, I have faith the Bills will put the ball in the hands of their most explosive back.

Week 16 NFL player props pick: Singletary over 67.5 rushing yards (1 unit)

Todd Gurley to continue to return to form

The Los Angeles Rams will be fighting for their Playoff lives when they head to San Francisco to take on their division rivals. Both these teams had surprising losses last week, with the Rams getting absolutely blown out by the Dallas Cowboys and the 49ers lost to the Atlanta Falcons. Both these teams will be looking to put on a show, but the game means a lot more to the Rams than the 49ers.

The 49ers defense is struggling right now, with a number of key injuries. With Dee Ford out, the vaunted 49ers pass rush loses a little bit of bite. That will give Gurley time to find holes and make some big plays. He is starting to run like the Gurley we know. Obviously, last week was an anomaly with the Rams being blown out and abandoning the run early, that shouldn’t be the case here. I can see this being a close game and Gurley getting enough to pass his rushing yards prop.

Week 16 NFL player props pick: Gurley over 76.5 rushing yards (1 unit)
