NFL legend Tom Brady showed off his golf skills in a viral long drive contest with LIV Golf star Bryson DeChambeau.

As a seven-time Super Bowl champion, five-time Super Bowl MVP, and three-time Most Valuable Player who holds pretty much every passing record in NFL history, Tom Brady is used to being the best player whenever he steps on a football field.

But what happens when the retired NFL legend steps on a golf course?

Tom Brady Defeats Bryson DeChambeau in Long Drive Contest

Brady showed off his golf skills in a viral long drive contest with LIV Golf star Bryson DeChambeau, upsetting the No. 10-ranked golfer in the world (with the help of a handicap).

To nobody’s surprise, Brady started talking trash immediately.

“I know I’m gonna win,” Brady said without any hesitation. “I’m an athlete, he’s a golfer.”

    “Wow!” DeChambeau responded.

Later in the video, Brady did show some respect to DeChambeau, describing him as a “scientist who takes his game to these crazy lengths and extremes.”

DeChambeau is a two-time U.S. Open champion who’s known for his long drives, which is why Brady challenged him.

Since this is his specialty, the two agreed that Brady would be able to pick out DeChambeau’s clubs for this contest. The NFL legend made him use stock drivers that he picked up at a yard sale.

Brady impressed throughout the competition, achieving a 175-mile-per-hour ball speed and a top distance of 339 yards.

The two went back and forth, and DeChambeau’s drivers clearly impacted his performance. On his final shot, he broke the club’s shaft. Brady ultimately defeated the golfer.

“Just for the record, and it’s official: I outdrove Bryson DeChambeau!” Brady said.

Brady also joked that DeChambeau lost to “a professional broadcaster … with seven Super Bowl rings.”

Brady is currently a broadcaster for Fox Sports after he inked a 10-year, $375 million deal with the network. Brady is one of the wealthiest players in NFL history, with a net worth of approximately $300 million. DeChambeau has done really well for himself, too, with career earnings of $70,185,465 and a net worth estimated to be approximately $60 million.

This isn’t the first time that Brady and DeChambeau have competed against each other, as DeChambeau and Aaron Rodgers defeated Brady and Phil Mickelson in “The Match” in 2021.

In addition to their long drive contest, the two also collaborated on a different video for DeChambeau’s YouTube channel. That hour-long video is part of DeChambeau’s “Break 50” series where he and Brady try to break a score of 50 at Shell Bay Club outside of Miami.
