The NFL Draft has evolved into a massive fan gathering over the years.
Much like a typical Sunday pregame experience, fans can now attend the event and cheer on their teams. Only this time, they can either praise or boo whoever gets selected. But the biggest question is: How much does it cost to attend the draft?
How Much Do Fans Pay To Attend the NFL Draft?
The draft is one of the few NFL-sanctioned events where fans don’t need to pay a dime. It’s free to attend.
However, there is one significant catch attached to attending the draft — including this one heading for Detroit during the week of April 25-27.
Only “invited ticket holders” will be allowed to walk around the draft’s location. This has always been the process for past drafts that were held in Las Vegas and Nashville, Tenn.
In the case of the 2024 event, these ticket holders will be given the freedom to roam around Detroit’s Hart Plaza in the downtown area where the event will be held.
How Can Fans Claim Their Tickets?
Fans only need to direct themselves to one website to claim their tickets for the draft, should they choose to attend.
All they have to do is register for the NFL Draft Experience via nfl.com. From there, fans would have to download the NFL OnePass app.

Unlike Sunday games, the NFL Draft has no designated seating. Fans trying to get close to the podium announcements are in a first-come, first-serve scenario where they have to find a way to get as close as possible to the front of the event.
Turning to the free ticket format allows avid NFL fans to only worry about travel expenses, food items, or purchasing any memorabilia at the site of the draft.
What Events Will Be at the Site of the NFL Draft?
If there are fans who choose to make their way over to the Motor City, what kind of entertainment outlets will they be given?
Hart Plaza, again, is the place that will hold games, exhibits, various player appearances, and more. Meanwhile, there will be options for younger NFL fans.
Corner Ballpark is scheduled to host youth-centered activities, including football clinics and an NFL Flag Football Skills Challenge.
But while Detroit is known for the manufacturing and production of vehicles, fans who experience the draft will get a taste of the Motor City’s musical sound. Detroit has long had a reputation for being a rock and soul music capital. Fans anticipate hearing the sounds of both genres while taking in the atmosphere.
It’s currently not known if any major musical performers will be on stage during the draft. However, there will be performers for “The Detroit Hustle” dance scheduled to be involved with the Day 3 events of the draft near Campus Martius Park.
Overall, fans who take in the free event will likely hear the roars once Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, and others walk across the podium to accept their NFL jersey after being drafted.
