The 2024 NFL Christmas schedule has been leaked and is filled with star talent, including Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and C.J. Stroud.

Today is NFL schedule release day, and we already know the two Christmas Day games for the 2024 season. It’s a star-studded affair featuring some of the league’s best quarterbacks.

NFL fans will be treated to a Christmas Day slate featuring Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and C.J. Stroud.

Star Quarterbacks Highlight Exciting NFL Christmas Day Slate

The NFL announced the Houston Texans will be hosting the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs will be on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day this season.

This two-game slate will air exclusively on Netflix, as the streaming provider has agreed to a deal with the NFL to broadcast the Christmas games.

For NFL fans, this Christmas slate will be another treat to enjoy on the joyous holiday.

Not only do they get two NFL games to watch, but they’ll get to see three of the league’s best quarterbacks in action.

As the NFL’s undisputed best quarterback, it’s no surprise to see Mahomes on Christmas, especially amidst the Chiefs’ pursuit of becoming the first team in league history to “three-peat” as Super Bowl champions.

Although the Steelers lack the star power at quarterback the other Christmas teams do, they still could present a challenging matchup for the Chiefs.

After last season’s surprising 10-7 record, the Steelers upgraded their quarterback room with the additions of Russell Wilson and Justin Fields. Wilson has already been announced as the starter, so at the moment, we presume he’ll be the one facing off against Mahomes and the Chiefs on Christmas.

Meanwhile, if Mahomes was the obvious first choice to play on Christmas, Jackson had to be a close second coming off his second MVP trophy. While Mahomes might be the league’s best quarterback, Jackson has a strong argument for being the most exciting one to watch.

Jackson is always must-see television when the Ravens are playing, and their opposing quarterback on Christmas has quickly ascended into the tier of elite QBs after just one season, making this one of the premier matchups of the season.

Coming off winning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, Stroud and the Texans will be looking to get their revenge against the Ravens, who they lost to in the Divisional Round of the playoffs last season.

Not only is this a revenge game for the Texans, but with the NFL scheduling them on a premier day in a prime-time slot, it’s further evidence Houston is now considered one of the new heavyweights of the league.

Texans on Christmas Further Proof They Have Arrived

The Texans were one of the biggest surprises in 2023 as they won the AFC South and made the playoffs led by a rookie head coach and quarterback. This came after three consecutive seasons of Houston winning four or fewer games.

First-year head coach DeMeco Ryans was a revelation for the Texans, but their biggest breakout star was Stroud, who, after just one season, has entered the conversation of the NFL’s elite quarterbacks.

Even after losing to the Ravens in the Divisional Round, Jackson provided Stroud with plenty of encouragement towards the future.

Now, in 2024, the Texans look to leap to the top, attempting to compete for a Super Bowl.

In addition to the natural development of Stroud, the Texans also return receiver Tank Dell, who suffered a season-ending injury following a very promising 2023 season. They also made sure to add a lot of talent in the offseason.

Their most notable addition was wide receiver Stefon Diggs in a trade with the Buffalo Bills. However, they also added EDGE Danielle Hunter, DE Denico Autry, LB Azeez Al-Shaair, and RB Joe Mixon, among many others.

With more depth and star power than last season, the Texans are no longer an underdog story — they’re considered legitimate Super Bowl contenders.
