NFL announcers Week 1: CBS and FOX NFL game assignments this week

Who are the Week 1 NFL announcers for FOX, CBS, NBC, and ESPN as we see 15 games across the four networks on Sunday and Monday?

Week 1 of the 2022 NFL season is finally here, meaning those recognizable voices of the NFL announcers will flow out of our television sets all day Sunday. But which NFL announcers will be working which games in Week 1 of the NFL schedule? With big changes around the industry, which NFL announcers are on CBS, FOX, NBC, and ESPN for the 2022 season?

    CBS announcers for Week 1

There are seven games on CBS this Sunday, with five in the early window and two in the afternoon. Pregame and halftime will be handled by the CBS studio crew, as well as in-game updates. To see which CBS game will be televised in your area, check out the Week 1 TV coverage map.

Things on CBS look very similar in 2022, with Jim Nantz and Tony Romo heading up the team as the lead pairing. This is the only network to have not seen a considerable shakeup this offseason.

    NBC announcers for Week 1

Sunday’s Week 1 TV schedule will, as always, finish with NBC’s coverage of Sunday Night Football. Things will sound slightly different this year but still have a familiar feel. With Al Michaels’ departure, Mike Tirico will be the full-time lead announcer alongside Cris Collinsworth.

Tirico filled in when Michaels was unavailable previously, but Michaels was the lead announcer more often than not. However, Tirico will now make the much-anticipated move from NBC’s pregame and halftime coverage to the booth alongside Collinsworth.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Dallas Cowboys | 8:20 p.m. ET
Mike Tirico, Cris Collinsworth, Melissa Stark (field reporter)

    ESPN/ABC announcers for 2022

As we alluded to earlier, things will be very different for Monday Night Football. Gone are the three-man booth experiments, with ESPN instead going for a tried and tested pairing of Buck and Aikman. They will work alongside the ESPN studio team, who will handle pregame, halftime, and postgame coverage.

Denver Broncos at Seattle Seahawks | 8:15 p.m. ET
Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Lisa Salters (field reporter)
