New York Jets RB Breece Hall Carted to Locker Room

New York Jets rookie RB Breece Hall is done for the day after suffering a leg injury against the Denver Broncos.

New York Jets rookie running back Breece Hall had to be carted to the locker room after suffering an apparent leg injury in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos. The Jets quickly ruled him out for the remainder of the game.

Jets RB Breece Hall Ruled Out

Hall went down in the second quarter and had to be helped off the field. He couldn’t put any weight on his leg as he was escorted to the medical tent. Hall tried to make it to the locker room, but he eventually had to be carted off the field.

That sequence of events, and the fact that New York already ruled him out of the game, is not good news for Hall or the Jets. Hopefully, he didn’t suffer a long-term injury, but it’s absolutely concerning.

The Jets traded up to select Hall 36th overall in April’s draft. He’s been essential to their offense, especially during Gang Green’s current three-game win streak.

Hall has become New York’s lead back, handling at least 17 carries over the last three weeks while scoring in each game. He’s a true dual threat, as evidenced by his 11-target, six-reception game against the Bengals in Week 3.

Unfortunately, Hall isn’t the only Jet currently dealing with an injury. Wide receiver Corey Davis and offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker also left Sunday’s game with health issues.

If Hall will be out for a while, Michael Carter projects as New York’s new RB1. Ty Johnson could also get more reps, and rookie Zonovan Knight would likely get promoted from the Jets’ practice squad.
