Hazel Renee was born on March 31, 1986, in Fort Riley, Kansas. An American actress and recording artist, she became popular for her role as Kennedy in season 3 of “Empire” and has appeared on reality shows such as “Basketball Wives” and “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”.
Renee expanded her career in music too, releasing R&B and soul tracks, and has been a part of MTV’s “Making the Band 3”. Furthermore, she has modeled for various brands and magazines. During her brief modeling career, she won the National American Miss Teen Michigan title and also featured on “Smooth Girl” and Smooth Magazine’s top 100 issues.
She is also in the process of co-founding a company named The Golden Mama, which seeks to support modern mothers.
Green and Renee met at Michigan State University while attending their theatre classes. According to Victoria Uwumarogie of Essence, Renee recalled how she first met Green. She said, “We were in the same theater class and both athletes.”. At that time, she was a part of the track and field team, and he was on the Spartan basketball team.”
She added, “Naturally, we gravitated towards one another for group projects because we were already familiar with each other.”
“We went to a rooftop pool and hung out at the cabana all day, which is still one of our favorite things to do together,” she mentioned, recalling their time after they reconnected. “We hadn’t seen each other in a very long time so we hung out all day, talked, and caught up. It was really casual but also reflective of our relationship. We really are best friends,” Renee said, recalling her dating life.
In 2018, they announced their relationship through an Instagram video where she was seen sitting courtside holding their one-year-old baby. They got engaged in 2019, and got married three years later, on 14 August 2022.
Expressing her excitement about the marriage, Renee said: “I’m looking forward to celebrating our love and this new chapter in our lives with the people who have been down with us from the very start. To have the support of family and friends is priceless.”

The couple has 4 kids: Olive Jay (2014), Draymond Jamal Green Jr. (2016), Cash Green (2020), and Hunni Green (2023).
Olive jay
Olive Jay was born on November 6, 2014, and is not Green’s biological daughter. She was born to Renee and Jacob Pullen, who shares a close bond with Olive and even did a commercial with her.
Nonetheless, Green’s close bond with can even be felt by his Instagram post on her fifth birthday as he had this to say about her, “My little Braveheart… wow you’re 5 going on 25 years old today. Keep being free-spirited and figuring life out, baby girl. I thank God that he chose me to be apart of your life. What a blessing you are, and I thank Mami and Jake for making such a wonderful baby girl and allowing me to take part in helping raise you. You’re such an amazing big sister and little helper. Draymond Jamal Green Jr.
Draymond Jamal Green Jr. was born on December 22, 2016, he has made many post-game conference appearances with his father or on the sidelines.
During a chat on the court, Green was asked, “You have your son here with you and tell me how is that being able to show him all of this?”
To which he replied, “It’s the most special thing in the world. Growing up as a young African-American man with nothing, you go, and you gain all this success, and you make all of this money. My fear is that he doesn’t understand how to work, that he doesn’t understand the things that’s going to face him.”
Cash Green
Cash Green is the third child and second daughter of Green and Renee. She was born in October 2020, and the whole family decorated the house with a pink and gold theme to welcome her.
In March 2024, Cash went up to the podium and to her dad and complained about her brother saying, “Jama hit me with the ball,” prompting Green to hug her and ask her to make up with her siblings.
Hunni Green
Hunni Green was born in December 2023, and she is very close to her dad, and was also spotted with him after the game in November 2024. When her first birthday came, the Green family organized a bee-themed party.
When it comes to fatherhood, Green shared his experience on Father’s Day and said this, “Being a father is a full-time job that you don’t receive any compensation for. In the form of money at least.
