Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Non-Trade is One of Biggest Storylines Out of the NBA Trade Deadline

While the Milwaukee Bucks are yet to make a trade, fans have been eagerly waiting for news on Giannis Antetokounmpo. Rumors about Antetokounmpo wanting out have been around for months, only for the Greek Freak to remain loyal to his team.

However, teams like the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Golden State Warriors, and the Miami Heat have been in the front running to land the 31-year-old star. Having said that, the Timberwolves and the Warriors are no longer in the running.

“I’ve been at 51-49 against a trade. I’m now at 60-40. Minnesota is still out there, but I’ll be honest with you, I don’t think their offer was as good as Golden State’s,” Windhorst said while on ESPN’s “Get Up show.”

Other reports stated that the Warriors’ offer of Draymond Green and a few picks wasn’t enough to move Antetokounmpo, leading the team to move on.

That being said, one can certainly expect a few interesting analyses before the NBA Trade Deadline wraps up, some even pointing at future trades after the 2026 playoffs wrap up.
