Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry put on a masterclass against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday (April 1) night, dropping a near-triple-double with 52 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists. But while Curry was lighting up the scoreboard, Warriors fans were left fuming over what they saw as a blatant missed call by the referees.
The controversial moment came when Curry drove hard to the rim for a layup. As Curry drove to the hoop, Ja Morant attempted to contest, resulting in clear contact that sent the Warriors’ superstar stumbling. No whistle. No foul. Just a wild shot that sailed off target—and a fan base that was absolutely livid.
Fans Erupt Over No-Call on Curry
It didn’t take long for the Warriors fans to take to social media, voicing their frustration over the no-call.
“Corrupt league that’s why,” one fan wrote, echoing the sentiments of many who believe Curry doesn’t get the superstar treatment he deserves.

Another fan simply couldn’t comprehend the decision: “I genuinely don’t understand what the refs see.
This wasn’t just any game, it was a crucial battle in the Western Conference playoff race. The Warriors (44-31) secured their third straight win, pushing past the free-falling Grizzlies (44-32) for the fifth seed. But even with the win, fans couldn’t ignore what they saw as biased officiating.
“There has to be a penalty for these refs, right? Adam Silver? WTF are you doing, useless piece of sh*t,” one enraged user wrote, directly calling out the NBA commissioner.
Curry, however, kept his composure—something fans admired in the heat of the moment. “Bro, I applaud Steph for keeping his cool,” another fan posted. “Because this foul and then the call he didn’t get when Morant pushed him out of bounds would have pissed me off.”
Curry Remains Composed
Despite the officiating drama, Curry put on an unforgettable show. The four-time NBA champion and all-time leader in three-pointers continued rewriting history. According to StatMamba, Curry became the oldest player in NBA history to record 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 three-pointers in a single quarter.
He finished the first frame with 19 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals, knocking down five of his six three-point attempts.
Yet, fans felt that greatness was being unfairly treated. “When it comes to @StephenCurry30, these @NBA referees swallow those whistles they got every single time! Come on, refs, do better!!!!” a fan ranted.
The no-call may not have changed the outcome as the Warriors defeated the Grizzlies 134-125, but it certainly fueled the growing frustration with NBA officiating.
The Warriors will end their six-game road trip with a matchup against the No. 4 seed Lakers in Los Angeles on Thursday, April 3. After that, the Warriors will face third-seeded Denver at Chase Center on Friday and they will surely hope Curry continue to decimate their opponents.
