Stephen Curry dominated in a statement win for the Golden State Warriors. Sounds nothing new, right?
But owning the court with a jaw-dropping 52 points against the Memphis Grizzlies, the Warriors star put on a clinic in shot-making. While the highlight reel was pure gold, the game itself came with some serious frustration.
Officiating? Let’s just say Curry wasn’t exactly getting the whistle he deserved. But instead of dwelling on it, he did what he always does. Hooping like a legend.
Stephen Curry Puts Up A 52-Point Showcase
The Warriors rolled into Memphis needing a win to keep their playoff push alive, and Curry wasn’t about to let it slip away. The Warriors (44-31) edged out the Grizzlies 134-125, but the bigger story was the show Curry put on. Flipping the court, he dropped a massive 52 points. He also finished with 10 rebounds, eight assists, and five steals.
With this win, the Warriors went past Memphis for the fifth seed in the Western Conference. The Grizzlies, on the other hand, are spiraling—losing seven of their last eight, including tough back-to-back home losses against the Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, and now, the Warriors.
Draining 12 of his 20 attempts from deep, Curry was in one of those zones where it felt like every shot was going in. And while Grizzlies defenders did their best to slow him down, the officials? Well, they seemed to be letting a lot slide.
Curry Addresses Lack Of Calls With Classic Poise
Well, not all things went Curry’s way. After the game, he was asked about the noticeable lack of calls in his favor. He went 8-for-8 from the line. But it could have easily been 16-for-16 with the amount of contact he absorbed. But instead of firing off on the officials, he kept it real.
Steph Curry tonight on controlling on-court emotions (especially after tonight’s officiating): “That’s my reality… You can have a reaction but you can’t let you distract you.” @NBCSWarriors @KelennA7

“It’s my reality. I’ve been in this situation for a long time,” Curry said. “It’s like a playoff game—you have to adjust to how the game’s being called. You can react, but you don’t want to let it distract you from the task.”
That’s peak Curry. No whining, no excuses—just an elite competitor finding ways to dominate, even when the whistle isn’t going his way. He added, “That doesn’t mean you’re passive or giving into it. You’re fighting through it and not looking to get bailed out, even though you feel like it’s not going your way.”
And that’s exactly why he’s built different. While some stars might let the frustration get to them, Curry stays locked in, adjusting and thriving no matter what. Tuesday night was just another example of why he’s still one of the most unstoppable forces in the game.
