Victor Wembanyama Made His Feelings Clear About The New York Knicks

San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama spoke about the New York Knicks before Tuesday's game.

On Tuesday night, the San Antonio Spurs will play the New York Knicks for the NBA Cup Championship (in Las Vegas).

The Spurs are coming off a 111-109 victory over Chet Holmgren and the Oklahoma City Thunder (on Saturday).

Victor Wembanyama Made His Feelings Clear About The New York Knicks

Before Tuesday’s game, Victor Wembanyama was asked about the Knicks.

Wembanyama: “They don’t play a brand of basketball as sophisticated as the Miami Heat or the Thunder… Their physicality is top in the league, so it’s a very tough team to play against.”

The Knicks are coming off a 132-120 victory over the Orlando Magic.

All-Star point guard Jalen Brunson exploded for 40 points, four rebounds, eight assists and one steal while shooting 16/27 from the field and 2/5 from three-point range in 39 minutes of playing time.

The Knicks are coming off a season where they reached the Eastern Confernece finals for the first in 25 years.

They are currently the second seed in the Eastern Conference with an 18-7 record in 25 games.

Following the NBA Cup Finals, the Knicks will resume regular season action on Thursday night when they visit the Indiana Pacers.

As for the Spurs, they are the fourth seed in the Western Conference with an 18-7 record in 25 games.

They are in the middle of a three-game winning streak.

The franchise last made the NBA playoffs during the 2019 season when LaMarcus Aldridge and DeMar DeRozan were still on the roster.

Wembanyama was the first pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.

The 2025 All-Star comes into the night with averages of 25.8 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.1 steals and 3.5 blocks per contest while shooting 50.4% from the field and 35.6% from three-point range in 13 games.
