Tyrese Haliburton Gets Candid About Playing in Front of Indiana’s Electric Home Crowd for NBA Finals Game 3

With the Indiana Pacers reaching the NBA Finals after 25 years, Tyrese Haliburton credits fans for their vociferous support and encouragement.

The Indiana Pacers started playing at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse (originally named Conseco Fieldhouse) during the 1999-2000 season. That same season, they reached the NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers but fell short.

Since then, other stars have tried to make a Finals run but have failed to cross the last hurdle. However, Tyrese Haliburton and Co. have lifted the spirits of the loyal fans attending the Pacers’ home games.

It became a moment to cherish for the Pacers faithful as Game 3 favored their beloved team. With the Oklahoma City Thunder winning Game 2, the Pacers came out aggressive and restricted Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to 24 points. Fending off the crowd’s energy, Haliburton dominated the proceedings on the court and gave them their due.

Tyrese Haliburton Lauds Loyal Indiana Pacers Fans for Showing Support

After the gripping contest, Haliburton arrived for a post-game interview to discuss the matchup and the fans’ high-volume energy. The last time they reached the Finals, the Lakers ran riot and defeated them 4-2. But this time, the team showed their mettle and character and consistently displayed why they were a 48-minute team on the floor. Likewise, Haliburton gave credit to the fans for pushing the team on.

“Amazing, amazing. We love playing in front of our fans. We love being here. They deserve high stakes, high-level basketball, and we are giving them that right now. It’s a big win for us. We can enjoy it. But we got a day in between this, so we gotta be ready to go for Game 4,” said a jubilant Haliburton in the post-game interview.

In an arena where the Pacers fans have witnessed their team fall flat multiple times, it’s refreshing to see them show their personality. Throughout these playoffs, they have come from large deficits to win games against the Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers, and the New York Knicks. That’s a stacked list right there.

Intriguing 2025 Attendance Report for the Pacers

Their record at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse could impact Game 4 and, if necessary, Game 6. During the regular season, the Pacers fanatics showed their support, and the team had a 29-11 home record and finished fourth in the Eastern Conference table. But the attendance numbers left a lot to be desired.

The iconic Gainbridge Fieldhouse does not always sell out during the regular season. According to ESPN, the Pacers rank 25th in the 2025 attendance report with 685,434. The Chicago Bulls fans lead the way, with 825,659 attending the games at the United Center.

The Pacers’ opposition in the NBA finals, the Thunder, stays 14th in the attendance report with 754,832 and a home record of 35-6.

Enjoying their sensational run, the Pacers fans, decked in gold, come in large numbers and stand united in Indiana. Unlike the regular season, the postseason promises mind-boggling moments and memories to cherish forever. Hopefully, the Pacers can give their fans the ultimate gift by lifting the NBA championship.
